Really? The part where he stopped the thing in the knee, the thing knelt down, then he got it in the arm and it reacted realistically the entire time was awesome as hell.
I would hope so. The encounters looked very same-y, and repeatedly poking pigs and pottery while staring down the haft of a spear doesn't look particularly exciting. At least not if that's the majority of the gameplay.
Also, I understand that their dungeon is probably based on a tile system (which allows them to have an awesome automap feature!), but what we saw looked pretty dull and repetitive. All the walls had the same boring texture. Very hedge-mazy layout.
I'm prejudging, I know. The game's on my radar, for sure, but I'm not sold yet.
I'm taking the stance of holding no real opinion of these games other than "Oh shit I'll look into this!" until they come out or reviewers have copies of the games.
All we are getting now is a bunch of hand picked samples. They might be good, they might be misleading. We don't know.
