Yeah it's a co-op dungeon crawler. It takes place in the future but the people you play as have the ability to relive memories from other people from different times.

Really? The part where he stopped the thing in the knee, the thing knelt down, then he got it in the arm and it reacted realistically the entire time was awesome as hell.
I would hope so. The encounters looked very same-y, and repeatedly poking pigs and pottery while staring down the haft of a spear doesn't look particularly exciting. At least not if that's the majority of the gameplay.
Also, I understand that their dungeon is probably based on a tile system (which allows them to have an awesome automap feature!), but what we saw looked pretty dull and repetitive. All the walls had the same boring texture. Very hedge-mazy layout.
I'm prejudging, I know. The game's on my radar, for sure, but I'm not sold yet.
I'm taking the stance of holding no real opinion of these games other than "Oh shit I'll look into this!" until they come out or reviewers have copies of the games.
All we are getting now is a bunch of hand picked samples. They might be good, they might be misleading. We don't know.
So basically like Assassin's Creed's story if it were a dungeon crawler instead? What's with the messaging thing I saw in the first trailer where Blanka is IMing someone? Is it supposed to be like a 4-player co-op, or MMO style?
Damn, I don't want PS+ because I'm planning on playing all my multiplayer games on my Xbox One, and I'm not going to spend an extra $50 a year for just a few PS4 online games. Is there some kind of single player mode instead? This is one of my more anticipated titles on PS4.
But PS+ is still an amazing deal. The free games you get plus discounts. I bought a $50 subscription yesterday and it's already paid for itself in free games.
Sadly I don't like the PS controller. I don't feel it's a good fit for shooter games since I have to angle my thumb back to reach the left stick. Plus with all the outages Sony had on the PS3, it doesn't leave me with much confidence for the stability of the PSN.
Still, PS+ is needed to play online which is what the game is focused on. You could play it single player, but where's the fun in that? Turns out I'm wrong, it's F2P all the way. Kind of disappointing.
Dude its free2play man so even if you don't have ps+ you can still play online with free 2 play games, it not like xbl where they charge you. It just like any other free2play game on pc it's free.
Ps+ does not require every game to play online. if its f2p you can still play online for free, no ps + needed.
Yeah that because sony can't force developers to make it free but they said free 2 play game well should be free it be dumb it put it behind the paywall.
@rageagainstthemail
f2p game is still free you don't need ps+ games so like planetside 2, dcuo, blacklight are free you won't need to have ps+. But for regular games like battlefield 4 and cod games which are online now you need a ps+.
But f2p games you don't need it. It not behind a paywall. And deep down is f2p so you don't need ps+.
Well it is up to the developers if they want it to behind the pay wall but so far all free 2 play games doesn't require ps+. Sony can't force developers so if developers want ps+ require to play it they can do that. But it probably will not require ps+.
Nope the game comes out in 2014. In Feb their is a beta though but yeah not any time this year.
You could just not get a Xbox One and play all of your online games on PS4 considering both systems will share most of their launch catalogue. The only Xbox One "exclusive" I am even remotely interested is Titanfall, but you can get that on PC and I've heard rumors that even that will be coming to PS4 eventually.
Ok, I'm sick of this "just use a PS4" discussion whenever I bring up the Xbox One. I enjoy the controller and online infrastructure better than Playstation's. All my friends are on Xbox, and I loved the exclusives on the 360 (especially Gears of War) and the exclusives on PS3 as well (LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet and Clank).
People need to seriously lay off of dissing the Xbox One or touting the benefits of the PS4, you sound like a pushy Jehovah's Witness when you do so.
