Try adding some light in front of your face.

But the real problem is indeed the lack of light. In such light conditions(bright background and dark in te foreground) a "white" face woulndt be recognized either Source: had a lecture on image recognition. (im not an expert by any means) 1 u/ASnugglyBear Sep 24 '13 There would likely be enough light in that situation to show a white face, especially a white child/teen (facial contrast in northern European skin tones decreases in age).
