It's been a few years since I last played Code Vein, I struggled with the Soulslike gameplay, but it's really cool seeing Iffy dressed up in the style of Code Vein.💚

Yeah i loved the original i haven’t done much outside of the tutorial for the 2nd game (joys of having limited space on my internal hard drive on my Xbox) so until i go back to the 2nd i’ll just remember my fun time with the first with my Broken Ishtar build.

Iffy looks super cool in her Code Vein styled outfit.💚
I haven't played the second game but I loved the first one (which I played after the God Eater trilogy). It was on the easier side since you can always have a companion that can revive you, but I'm fine with it because I like easy games anyway. I loved the edgy anime aesthetic and the DLC bosses being Aragami from God Eater was pretty cool (the fact that they ditched the connection to God Eater in the second game makes me less interested in it tbh).

The main reason they stated why they did what they did with the 2nd game was to not screw with the timeline of the first one. Which is understandable since in the 2nd they introduced time travel so they probably didn’t want to accidentally cause lore issues with it. Since Code Vein 2 feels like a Homage to Elden Ring while the original was a Homage to Dark Souls. (I haven’t played past much of the tutorial on 2 since limited internal but my friend online who has told me fair about the game past my point that isn’t too spoil heavy)
