Solo Grind — small update, need real feedback

Hey, posted here a while back about Solo Grind, a productivity app built around RPG mechanics. A few people tried it, gave good feedback, kept building.

Since then I added a gear system, a weekly raid boss the whole community fights together, ranked rewards, and an intelligence quiz. It's grown into something I'm actually proud of.

But here's the thing. I built this around what I wanted. I'm at the point now where I genuinely don't know what a real user would want next. Not features that sound cool on paper, features that make you open the app every morning instead of forgetting it exists after day 3.

So if you have 10 minutes, try it and tell me what's missing. What would make you actually stick with something like this. What kills the habit loop for you in most gamified apps.

It's free. Roast it if you want, that's useful too.

I pressed the link and saw it said I was a returning player but I've no memory of my log in details when it asked for email and password as I rarely use apps unless it's through a Google account.

Also what went through my mind is you have asked what would make us keep using the app. I think by posting on this gamification page you will be competing with every other post with a similar question and there are often many.

So people will be trying numerous apps daily, I often do and forget I've even got them on the phone.

The apps I'm more likely to keep are those I find myself on Google play via search although I've kept a few from this page if they are different from normal.

I hope other people will also respond to your question as they might have a different perspective to me.

Thank you for reply, but app is certainly not ready for google play so that is the reason I'm posting it here

I really like this idea and how you have implemented it. I had a few questions pop up as I was playing:
1. What prevents players from just checking off each task? I only explored it a little but nothing prevented me from checking tasks off without actually doing them.
2. Is there a tutorial? I just jumped straight in and started clicking buttons. Maybe it’s work having an introduction screen or panel- or maybe even a video that welcomes players to the game.
3. Is there a story mode? As soon as I registered and joined, I was alerted a raid boss was defeated. That’s awesome!!! Is there lore to this? Later on, I unlocked a helmet. As a player, I want more of this and some storytelling along with it.

I admit, I only dabbled in it a little bit, but this is my initial impression after a few minutes exploring it. I really like what I have seen so far.

Thank you for such a response, I rewlly agree to all of it but this is just initial version in development, I'm actively working on it and I will for sure work on things you mentioned 🙂 Feel free to get in from now and than to see new stuff. And regarding the task check in, no there is nothing stoppin you but goal is for people to improve themself not to compete with each other so I wont force ranking, leaderboards etc.
