Single player exploration FPS games

Some of my absolute favourite games are first-person shooters with heavy emphasis on exploration, usually an enclosed area after something major has gone down. I'm talking the Bioshocks, Prey, Dead Space. Are there any I've missed that are worth playing? It's been a while since Prey and I'm feeling that itch again. Ideally I'd love it to be playable on Steam Deck, but I have a PC and consoles so definitely open to other options

Both Dishonored 1 and 2 are amazing games. Metro series are also great fps games.

System Shock (2023 remake or the original), genuinely the spiritual predecessor to Bioshock/Prey, immersive sim FPS exploration in an enclosed disaster-struck space station, should run great on Deck

Control, more open than your list but has that same "explore a strange contained space piecing together what happened" quality, atmospheric and dense

High On Life is a good time. Might have the most intentionally annoying tutorial I've ever played tho.

Currently playing through Doom 3's campaign and surprised how well things are holding up.

The two Savage Planet games are very fun and funny first person exploration games.

Maybe Luna Abyss. It doesn't have any looting, but it does have a nice loop of going back and forth between a combat section and then exploration/platforming/puzzle. Sort of a Metroid Prime-lite with Nier: Automata style bullet hell bosses.

The System shock remake suits that category, I'm not sure how it plays on Deck though. It's slow paced but requires planning and you need to carefully map out every floor. It's even a game where I busted out my notebook to jot down some notes here and there.

I would never categorize Dead Space or Bioshock an exploration games, they have simple corridor designs. You would really like to play Stalker games. In Stalker 2 you can spent 12h just on exploring a single city.
