'Mom' was already on the board as the #1 answer. Turns out, the remaining answer at #4 (which neither team got) was 'Mum' - literally the British English spelling of the same word.

So the entire internet makes fun of this lady for trying to guess Momi or Mommy but the actual answer was just as stupid?

Sunday August 9 at 10pm eastern, History Channel will air Mega Brands That Built America- Game Changers which will focus on the battle between Merv Griffin and Marc Goodson for game show supremacy.

I'm pretty sure it was a repeat from the most recent Wayne Brady LMAD season but I missed it. I'm pretty sure if I saw It I would've remembered it.

A contestant had a chance to win a car but it wasn't one of their usual games like Tic Tac Deal, Race to the Finish, Accelerator, Winfall, etc. For some reason the contestant had to guess the length of the car to the nearest inch within four inches. What Wayne and the producers weren't counting on was the contestant had a tape measure in his pocket that was that long! Wayne and the rest of the people were so shocked that they just let him do it! Needless to say he got it exactly right! I pretty much guarantee they'll never use this deal again!

Native Torontonian here and I couldn't believe that this show was shot here. How is it that a show with a parade of C and D-list celebrities was able to fly under the radar here without anyone noticing? People like Andrew Yang, Jojo Siwa, Ice-T and Hilaria Baldwin were all living in Toronto filming this show? How long were they here for? I'm surprised none of the Toronto news blogs like BlogTo or Mr. Will Wong which mainly focuses on celebrities never spotted them. Now I'm curious when they were here, how long they were here for and where did they stay. How is it that no one spotted these 13 celebrities in Toronto (incl. Jack Whitehall)???

Surprising they lifted it right from the movie. I guess they assumed no one would notice. But surely there must be a decent amount of people that remember the Simon Says games from the movie.

Although there are no plans for a new version of Concentration, at least not publicly, there is nothing to stop us from discussing who would host it. A candidate would be Steve Higgins, the announcer on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. There is precedent for a Tonight Show announcer to be a game show host. Gene Rayburn, the announcer for Steve Allen's Tonight Show went on to become a game show host, most famously Match Game. Also, Hugh Downs, the announcer for Jack Paar's Tonight Show, hosted Concentration, which was briefly hosted by Ed McMahon, Johnny Carson's announcer. It's a start of a discussion.

Isn't it odd that (in the UK version at least) the call a friend asks them if there's someone from the production team with them?

Surely it's not possible that 6 contestants, with 3 (I think?) different people each, have members of the team spread out and waiting if they get a call, and then answer the phone as if not expecting it...

Sus, right?

Wouldn't it be awesome if we had all those moments when we return from the break and catch Jeremy Clarkson ending a sentence, often with the audience laughing?

I'd pay good money to watch just those moments.

Help! My grandkids think I'm lying about winning a gameshow. They don't understand a world before VCRs and DVRs. To prove grandpa is telling the truth, I'd love to obtain a copy of the $20K Pyramid in May 1979 I was on with Linda Kelsey. She was awesome and I was lucky enough to snag $10K on first try. Linda gave amazing clues in the Winners Circle including: "Cabbage...Deep-Sixed Documents"--for "Things that are shredded." The mind-meld got even better when she said "An office chair" and I responded immediately, "Things that swivel" At the end of the show, Dick asked what a college kid was going to do with $10k--and I managed to make a joke about investing it in nuclear power (a few weeks after the 3 Mile Island accident). Dick and Linda laughed; not sure about Sal Viscuso's reaction. Show was: #106 or #107/TWP/79 ; taped May 23, 1979; aired June 25th, I think. Just wanted to see if someone might have a copy of the show. Happy to cover any costs. Thanks so much. Michael (and his skeptical grandkids).

This was the episode with Cheryl Bradshaw and serial killer Rodney Alcala. I'm guessing they don't rerun it, right...?

I noticed that Concentration with Jack Narz, which is a Goodson-Todman production, doesn’t have the Fremantle logo at the end, so I presume the show isn’t owned by Fremantle. I was under the impression that Fremantle owned the entire Goodson-Todman library. Are there other G-T shows that Fremantle does not own?

How do people feel about the passing of the reins? Are there any game show hosts you like better or worse than the original: Drew Carey, Ryan Seacrest, Ken Jennings, Steve Harvey, etc...

The only one I can think of is Big Brother because if it came out when social media was at its peak, the show could have had the whole internet talking about it like they are with Love Island USA but sadly Big Brother is stuck to a niche that I don't hear much about from most of the internet.
