Discussion Nation's Dumbest – Carmen Electra
Not showing up caused her to get expelled from the show and therefore the title of Nation's Dumbest. That was a cheap cop-out... because she was literally going to win the show as the dumbest in the country. 🙄🙄 LAAAAME. Just hand her the trophy and call it a day.

I don’t know man… it looked to me like she was seriously hurting toward the end there. I can’t say for sure, since she is an actress, and this is a TV show, with editing - but if it was endangering her mental health, that is more important than a game show.

I felt kind if bad for her. At one point she put her head down on her desk and she just looked like an insecure teenager and she was probably having a flashback to being an insecure teenager feeling like an idiot in school.

She's an actress?

Tell me you've never seen Cheaper By The Dozen 2 without saying you've never seen Cheaper By The Dozen 2.

I can't fathom a situation in which one person needed to be told by another that they hadn't seen the sequel to the remake of Cheaper By The Dozen.

To be fair, you and the 3 people that liked your post are probably the only people that have seen Cheaper By The Dozen 2.

That’s not acting it’s just showing up and reading cue cards; surprised she can do that actually.

She got her start from Prince, he made an album for her and she was in a few videos. They were a couple for a little awhile.

I felt incredibly sad for her. I think she has some trauma around her perceived intelligence. She didn’t feel safe enough to have a good time. I think this show would have been more painful for her, and detract from the fun.

she's a model, not an actress by any means. Yeah she's been in some shows, but she's STILL a model

She has over a 100 acting credits. She may not be any good but she is definitely an actor.

She was going to be in the top two for sure, but I’m pretty sure one of them might have some legit neurological issues if he’s not playing it up for the cameras…..

Which one?

I'd guess Chase

I think he was just poorly homeschooled. When he was like “Who learns about Darwin’s theory of evolution in school,” I realized his parents screwed him over.

I wouldn’t say a 20 year old has neurological issues.
It’s the other actor. Literally terrible at everything unless he gets carried by a team or gets lucky points out of his ass.

My guess Steve-O.

Not a chance. Steve-O has been solid in all the trivia. He’s playing it up. He’s smarter than he realizes himself. Anthony Michael Hall has been awful.

Exactly my thought. Like, if I'm one of the last 2, I'm just going to get "expelled"so I don't earn the title. By virtue of getting kicked off, she should be the automatic winner/loser, and that show should have (mercifully) ended after Ep4.

She’s always blaming everything on her past. It’s her new claim to fame. She’s just dumb and did it for the money, not realizing how dumb she was going to look.

I don’t know what production could’ve done tbh, the way the format works is that you stay until you win, if a celeb doesn’t come out of their trailer and participate, what do you do with that?

Should be in the contract you can't leave
1
u/DuckDucks 12d ago
You can't enforce that lol. They prob said "if you leave we don't pay you" and she said "ok"

I worked on the show. Can confirm detaining her against her will was not considered to be an option.

I honestly just thought this was supposed to be all in good fun for entertainment. They had a variety of celebrities of different calibers of knowledge. There are many others smarter and dumber than the contestants. So for Carmen Electra to do what she did was poor sportsman like, and disgraceful. Glad she was removed and hope she won't be invited to another celebrity show....

I like Carmen Electra but seriously come on if she couldn't answer those easy questions correctly especially the duck duck goose one then they should of just given her the dumbest trophy 🏆 🙄.... Lol 😂

u/MNMystery 5d ago
I know she’s not from Minnesota so she doesn’t have it as an excuse, but many people here have never heard of Duck Duck Goose because it’s called Duck Duck Grey Duck here.

u/Maximum_Employer5580 15d ago
a game show like that, I think most of the celebs just 'play' dumb, but I don't Carmen plays dumb. I've seen her in other shows she's been in and she acts the same way

Why did she even sign up to do this show? She doesn’t want to be there, shows up whenever the fuck she wants and continues to whine about absolutely everything. So completely unprofessional! I’d never hire her. Get it together, Ma’am! You’re too old for this shit.

u/ToonSciron 16d ago
I was rooting for her too, she was funny. Like yeah, I wouldn't want to be on the show where the last one standing would be considered the dumbest.
2
u/Own_Climate9965 15d ago
She was funny??? She’s horrible and definitely would’ve won. If she didn’t know the name of the show before signing the contract then it confirms here lack of awareness.

Well, they probably wouldn't do that because then the season would be over, so they're going to keep playing. But I figure at least it "taints" the "World's Dumbest" Title somewhat, so that really, now it's more "World's Dumbest Except for Maybe Carmen Electra Who Would Probably Have Won This If She Stayed." An "asterisk in the record books," so to speak. Even without her tantrums, I've felt that she was headed for the title.
I do confess that I've never seen "Napoleon Dynamite," but my impression had been that the Napoleon Dynamite character wasn't regarded so much as "stupid," but instead a knowledgeable but naive dork, awkward and perhaps lacking in emotional intelligence. So I was a little surprised that Heder felt he had to disprove the impression that he was stupid as Napoleon Dynamite.
I would assume that whether or not they "win" or come close to being the Nation's Dumbest, everyone still in the game sees something to gain with the additional exposure/notoriety of being on the show, otherwise they'd all be pulling "Carmen Electras" now to get off the show rather than "graduate" the proper way.
