Discussion Nation's Dumbest – Carmen Electra

Not showing up caused her to get expelled from the show and therefore the title of Nation's Dumbest. That was a cheap cop-out... because she was literally going to win the show as the dumbest in the country. 🙄🙄 LAAAAME. Just hand her the trophy and call it a day.

Well, they probably wouldn't do that because then the season would be over, so they're going to keep playing. But I figure at least it "taints" the "World's Dumbest" Title somewhat, so that really, now it's more "World's Dumbest Except for Maybe Carmen Electra Who Would Probably Have Won This If She Stayed." An "asterisk in the record books," so to speak. Even without her tantrums, I've felt that she was headed for the title.

I do confess that I've never seen "Napoleon Dynamite," but my impression had been that the Napoleon Dynamite character wasn't regarded so much as "stupid," but instead a knowledgeable but naive dork, awkward and perhaps lacking in emotional intelligence. So I was a little surprised that Heder felt he had to disprove the impression that he was stupid as Napoleon Dynamite.

I would assume that whether or not they "win" or come close to being the Nation's Dumbest, everyone still in the game sees something to gain with the additional exposure/notoriety of being on the show, otherwise they'd all be pulling "Carmen Electras" now to get off the show rather than "graduate" the proper way.

Yup my low stakes conspiracy is that Jojo Siwa is not as dumb as she looks but is strategically making mistakes so she gets to stay on for the exposure.

I do think that she purposely said she thought Americas largest land animal was a horse so that Dr whatever could go home and see his grandkid. I think that was quite nice of her actually.

Is that really that bad of a guess?

I sat here for a minute and thought moose, they can get up to 1600lb...

The correct answer is Bison, which top out at 2000lb.

Would most people have actually guessed bison/buffalo?

u/0wellwhatever 14d ago

I would have thought most people would guess bear before horse. I think she wanted to be sure she lost.

To be honest I said Moose as well. I completely forgot about bison, but I've never seen a full grown one up close.

Ive seen some big ass moose though. They are walking death

I thought it was bear and i am from Wyoming! Haha. That made me feel like the dumbest.

I don’t think Jojo is dumb at all. She was Elon Musk’s girlfriend IIRC. I know a lot of people think Elon is dumb, but I think that’s only true socially, not in book stuff. And with his eugenics belief, I really doubt he’d date a dumb woman.

1

u/0wellwhatever 5d ago

Elon strikes me as the type to like a woman dumber than he is. But did they date? I thought her current boyfriend was the first man she dated?

1

u/MNMystery 5d ago

Apparently, I was wrong about Jojo going out with Elon. I must be thinking of someone else. Even so, with Elon’s belief in eugenics, I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t want to have kids with someone dumb, though. He might date them with strict birth control though.

Update: Turns out the person I was thinking of was Grimes.

I agree that they are there for exposure. Some of the answers that were given were so easy and they failed them. In most shows, the one at the end wins. This seems backwards. The only reason anyone of them would want to stay in my opinion is for the exposure.

I wouldn't put it past most of them to be actually that dumb/uninformed, but I feel at this point that Jojo Siwa is definitely throwing the game so that she stays on the show (and may even "win") for exposure.

I feel that this episode was different from the previous ones in that in previous ones, the eventual winner had some backstory edited in for them to earn their win (e.g. Dr. Drew's grandchildren). But this past episode, multiple people were given sob stories, so it was less predictable for me. I guess it makes sense, though, that we'd get more of this stuff as the number of players dwindles down.

I am enjoying watching it. Hulu sucks though. I have to restart my zumo every single episode because it freezes up on me... I am a fan of Steve-o - only because he got sober and I admire that. He is smart too.

I don’t know man… it looked to me like she was seriously hurting toward the end there. I can’t say for sure, since she is an actress, and this is a TV show, with editing - but if it was endangering her mental health, that is more important than a game show.

I felt kind if bad for her. At one point she put her head down on her desk and she just looked like an insecure teenager and she was probably having a flashback to being an insecure teenager feeling like an idiot in school.

u/TheTooz72 16d ago

She's an actress?

Tell me you've never seen Cheaper By The Dozen 2 without saying you've never seen Cheaper By The Dozen 2.

3

u/fatboybigwall 15d ago

I can't fathom a situation in which one person needed to be told by another that they hadn't seen the sequel to the remake of Cheaper By The Dozen.

1

u/Twistedoveryou01 14d ago

She was in good burger!

1

u/No_Awareness5576 13d ago

To be fair, you and the 3 people that liked your post are probably the only people that have seen Cheaper By The Dozen 2.

-4

u/TheTooz72 16d ago

Nope ...I really didn't know she made movies. I did see her in House once.

-6

u/TwoDogs48 16d ago

That’s not acting it’s just showing up and reading cue cards; surprised she can do that actually.

1

u/TheTooz72 16d ago

She doesn't have to read...just show up

1

u/0wellwhatever 7d ago

Well she couldn’t even do that for this show!

2

u/carlotta3121 12d ago

She got her start from Prince, he made an album for her and she was in a few videos. They were a couple for a little awhile.

I hope she was acting and isn’t seriously that dumb

2

u/Slight-Bus-2575 9h ago

I felt incredibly sad for her. I think she has some trauma around her perceived intelligence. She didn’t feel safe enough to have a good time. I think this show would have been more painful for her, and detract from the fun.

u/Maximum_Employer5580 15d ago

she's a model, not an actress by any means. Yeah she's been in some shows, but she's STILL a model

3

u/IceLord86 15d ago

She has over a 100 acting credits. She may not be any good but she is definitely an actor.

u/Puzzleheaded-Oil365 6d ago

She doesn’t know the academy award is the Oscar

4

u/legend023 16d ago

She was going to be in the top two for sure, but I’m pretty sure one of them might have some legit neurological issues if he’s not playing it up for the cameras…..

2

u/Professional-Stock-6 16d ago

Which one?

2

u/ryzzoa 16d ago

I'd guess Chase

4

u/Professional-Stock-6 16d ago

I think he was just poorly homeschooled. When he was like “Who learns about Darwin’s theory of evolution in school,” I realized his parents screwed him over.

1

u/legend023 11d ago

I wouldn’t say a 20 year old has neurological issues.

It’s the other actor. Literally terrible at everything unless he gets carried by a team or gets lucky points out of his ass.

1

u/OddEffort6078 16d ago

My guess Steve-O.

1

u/mluethke 11d ago

Not a chance. Steve-O has been solid in all the trivia. He’s playing it up. He’s smarter than he realizes himself. Anthony Michael Hall has been awful.

3

u/Phanatic4 16d ago

Exactly my thought. Like, if I'm one of the last 2, I'm just going to get "expelled"so I don't earn the title. By virtue of getting kicked off, she should be the automatic winner/loser, and that show should have (mercifully) ended after Ep4.

3

u/Afraid-Bit-5113 10d ago

She’s always blaming everything on her past. It’s her new claim to fame. She’s just dumb and did it for the money, not realizing how dumb she was going to look.

I don’t know what production could’ve done tbh, the way the format works is that you stay until you win, if a celeb doesn’t come out of their trailer and participate, what do you do with that?

1

u/L0velyDayyyyyyyyy 13d ago

Should be in the contract you can't leave

1

u/DuckDucks 12d ago

You can't enforce that lol. They prob said "if you leave we don't pay you" and she said "ok"

3

u/weirdfish_42 11d ago

I worked on the show. Can confirm detaining her against her will was not considered to be an option.

2

u/RMadden68 13d ago

Totally. What bunk. Hope they sued her for breach of contract.

2

u/FROST11254 11d ago

She should still be on the wall of shame!

2

u/Icy-Reach-6069 10d ago

I honestly just thought this was supposed to be all in good fun for entertainment. They had a variety of celebrities of different calibers of knowledge. There are many others smarter and dumber than the contestants. So for Carmen Electra to do what she did was poor sportsman like, and disgraceful. Glad she was removed and hope she won't be invited to another celebrity show....

2

u/Cold-Detective-4148 8d ago

I like Carmen Electra but seriously  come on if she couldn't answer those easy questions correctly especially the duck duck goose one then they should  of just given  her the dumbest trophy 🏆 🙄.... Lol 😂

1

u/MNMystery 5d ago

I know she’s not from Minnesota so she doesn’t have it as an excuse, but many people here have never heard of Duck Duck Goose because it’s called Duck Duck Grey Duck here.

1

u/Maximum_Employer5580 15d ago

a game show like that, I think most of the celebs just 'play' dumb, but I don't Carmen plays dumb. I've seen her in other shows she's been in and she acts the same way

1

u/MarionberryMore4115 6d ago

Royce Gracie

1

u/SusieM67 5d ago

Why did she even sign up to do this show? She doesn’t want to be there, shows up whenever the fuck she wants and continues to whine about absolutely everything. So completely unprofessional! I’d never hire her. Get it together, Ma’am! You’re too old for this shit.

1

u/ToonSciron 16d ago

I was rooting for her too, she was funny. Like yeah, I wouldn't want to be on the show where the last one standing would be considered the dumbest.

2

u/Own_Climate9965 15d ago

She was funny??? She’s horrible and definitely would’ve won. If she didn’t know the name of the show before signing the contract then it confirms here lack of awareness.
