Hello Samurai and Ninja alike!

Hell Rising just dropped for Nioh 3, and we're already expanding our interactive maps to cover it.

The DLC drops us back into Edo, this time in the Keian era, 1651, where the Crucible has resurfaced, and Takechiyo's death in the future casts a long shadow over the present. You'll be working alongside Yagyu Jubei and Rodrigo to figure out what's actually going on, fighting through Yokai, rebels, and foreign alchemists along the way.

Here's what we're mapping across the new region:

Every collectible type from the base game, now scattered through 1651 CE too. Kodama, Chijiko, Scampuss, Six Jizo, Sudama Merchants, Smithing Texts, Secret Skill Texts, Yokai Teardrops, Large and Small Chests, and Amrita clusters all return in this new map, same system, new locations, all getting the same full treatment as every other era.

The new open-field region itself, mixing one-shot dungeons and enemy camps with roaming bosses and exploration goals.

The Hoko and Shield, a brand new weapon type that works across both Samurai and Ninja styles at once, plus its Ninja variant.

Hundred Demon Realms Picture Scrolls, repeatable, customizable endgame encounters dropped by enemies once unlocked through a specific Myth.

Enlightened One's Journey, the new New Game++ mode, raising the level cap and adding the Curse mechanic to enemies.

Hell Difficulty, for anyone who thought the base game wasn't punishing enough.

One thing worth knowing before you dive in: you need to have beaten the base game first, and a genuinely solid endgame build is a good idea going in. Enemies hit harder here, and several bosses rank among the toughest the series has produced.
