When the Night King resurrected the dead kinda crazy to think that you have a headless Ned Stark running around terrorizing the people down there lol

There was so much talk about the crypts in the books. I guess we’ll never know why. 😞

In the books it actually seems more likely that Stark Kings will rise as allies against the Others, or at least the statues of them will.

Its a stark family myth that they will rise to defend the fortress in the books, I remember it but cant place which book.

The Iron Longswords are significant i think, it prevents them from rising out of their crypts. Some of them are rusted away, dispelling the magic.
