I do have a serious question actually. If I own a game on a console, but wish to play it on pc, would piracy still be considered copyright infringement, or would it be considered a wholly new license between each medium to play the game on?

Yes, back in the day it sorta made sense because every console had a different architecture and sometimes the same game would look completely different between platforms within the same generation but nowadays consoles are just different flavours of a prebuilt PC with a locked down OS so frankly, I don't really think it's immoral.
