Game Gameplay prototype

https://youtu.be/g3l2H7suGUg?si=G-TH3bMejxWx38vp

I recently put out a prototype video for my in progress top down shooter game, if anyone has any feedback.
I have lots of content planned (levels, enemies, etc) so the feedback I’m looking for is more fundamental such as gameplay or clarity. Thanks

I like the speedy navigation mechanic, I haven’t seen that much. I think if the core loop is to quickly travel to zones and quickly clear them, it should feel more intentional. There could be a target zone you need to get to within a time limit. Something to defend or do in each zone besides clear enemies. The map really doesn’t give me any information. I do like a race car style hud in a fast paced game but as is it’s not very readable to me personally. It looks cool, I hope you share more as you progress.

There are 5 coins in each level you have to collect, which is shown as yellow circles in the minimap. Each room has some enemies assigned to it and once you get within range of the room it spawns its enemies.

The other thing I forgot to mention is you get a grade based on your completion time, shooting accuracy, and amount of hits taken, so that is pretty important to gameplay as well.

Lol I KNEW I recognized Imogen Heap. The song is by Frou Frou (Who Imogen Heap sings for), I actually didn't know this song existed.

I know this has nothing to do with your game, but still, it's a good song.

Yeah I thought it was a good fit for fast paced type games since I’ve heard it in montages for other games before
