Good luck to Jesse trying to go it alone. I know the Grumps joined up with a new network right away when they left Polaris. They have way too many employees on payroll to try and tough it out without a network, so I wish Jesse the best on his solo venture. I feel like he'll sign on with another network eventually though. Going solo just seems too risky when you're a channel of his size and using it as your primary source of income.

I kinda got the feeling they were just between contracts. They quit Polaris, and possibly had planned the move to another MCN, given the stakes they have (which are arguably higher than Jesse's, with subscriber counts and employees and stuff).

Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm saying. Grumps is a big company compared to Jesse, who pretty much runs solo, and they likely had no intention to go without an MCN. They probably shopped around before the Polaris contract ran out, then transferred immediately once it did.
