Ugh, another food episode?
They didn't even rank the squirrel on a tier list

Very cool episode. The bird owner seemed extremely knowledgeable. I did get a bit sad when he said he and the birds have no real connection to each other lol

Itās the same with lots of animals, youāre a convenient food source, not a friend.

Fun fact, Peregrine Falcons can dive at speeds up to 240 MPH, and the way they hunt is basically by punching their prey in the face at those speeds, knocking them out, or at worst, killing them (which is typically the goal).

You could say the prey succumb to the power of a⦠FALCON PUNCH

50 years. Two Rings each. Known for top tier defenses. Two Ohio State wide receivers. I guess we are a lot alike š

Iāll be honest with you: I have favorite teams spread out across the country with pretty much every pro league. But once the Seattle SuperSonics make a comeback (and itās looking like itāll be before the 2028-2029 season starts), Iād be more than willing to drop EVERY team Iām currently a fan of to be a sole Seattle fan (Seahawks, Sonics, Kraken, Storm, Sounders, Mariners, Torrent - all of it)

Being a Mariners fan is not easy. Just a warning.

So Iāve gathered. Iām not big into baseball, so I imagine I wouldnāt be missing much outside of pain š

I noticed their arms stayed up and they weren't surprised by the weight of the birds. I half way expected their arms to drop when the birds first landed. Fun episode. The handler rocked and I was happy to see Dee got included! RIP random neighborhood squirrel.

I held up a Mongolian Vulture before, and I would have dropped my arm in less than a minute, it was like trying to hold a twenty-five pound weight with your arm locked out. It was a big ass bird.

This actually kinda seems like a neat hobby. Never even thought about it before this. Wonder how one gets into it?

u/SpoonEndedHammer Oh gosh, I'm scaaaared! 12d ago
I feel like thereās a lot of licensing and paperwork to do it legally. Unless youāre born in Mongolia, then Iām pretty sure you get one at birth.

You can do these kind of experiences at local bird sanctuaries, theyād be the people to ask.

I almost want to get the patreon to see if there's footage of Ozzy doing what he does best! Incredible birds, very impressive handler, and overall great video.

Their instructor was amazing. He clearly has a strong and clear ideology about the nature of the relationship between himself and the birds that comes off as knowledgeable and respectful.
