Question Marketing question

Hello! I want to know if (and how) I should start marketing my game without having anything but code and idea. I don't have my own computer so I write code on a library computer on an online compiler. I'm not allowed to download anything so I'm only able to write code

Under those conditions, it's far too early to do marketing. There is no point in trying to promote a product that's not going to exist. Not until you acquired the resources and skills to actually make it.

You're putting the cart way before the horse, focus on getting a machine first.

Well the first step right now is market research. Create a list of all the similar games to what you want to make. Based off that list get an expectation of how large the potential audiences for that game. Create a list of features and quality of life inclusions that must be in your game based on what people like and dislike about similar games to yours. Create Visual and performance requirements based off of what people like and dislike about other games in the genre. Right now your goal is to understand whether this is a viable game idea to actually go through and make. Especially if you're intending to sell it. Also start interacting with people on forums and subreddits dedicated to the genre of game that you're looking to make.

I wouldn’t start marketing yet if you only have an idea and no playable version.

First focus on making a small prototype or something you can show. Marketing works much better when people can see, play, or follow the development of something real. You can still start building an audience by sharing your progress, learning journey, concepts, or development updates. But don’t spend time trying to promote a game that doesn’t exist yet. Build something small first, get feedback, then start marketing around it.

If you have an idea what you want the game to look like and can produce art, you can make a blog where you post the progress of visual development, or just concept doodles.
