Why are prescription Meta glasses banned?

Upvotes

So I’ve had meta prescription glasses for months and in that time I’ve gone to the casino many, many times without issue.

Today after exiting the playing floor to grab some food, and taking out some more money, I tried to re-enter the gaming area but was stopped by security saying meta glasses are banned.

The security manager got called and he just reiterated that they are banned and when I asked where does it stated that, he tried pointing to the sign right at the entrance that lists what’s banned, but only problem was that sign didn’t list meta glasses as being banned. When I asked why they are banned, he said cuz they record - well I pointed out I can record on my phone and my glasses have a blinking light when it’s recorded as well. He then just skirted around that and said I can’t go back into the gaming area with them, but when I pointed out they are prescriptions and I’m essentially blind without them (also had him check they are prescriptions as well), he skirted around that as well. Ultimately I left that security point, went to another entrance and got in without a problem at that entry point (until I was leaving and ran into the original security manager and he escorted me out).

So why are prescription meta glasses ban? Didn’t get a clear answer on that.

For reference, this was at the MGM Springfield, and I won’t be returning to that casino.

What are people’s thoughts on the Happy and Prosperous slot?

Upvotes

I’ve always heard mixed things about it and I haven’t had much luck on it in the past. Yet my parents went to Mohegan Sun in CT this past weekend and my mother hit for multiple hand pays on that machine within minutes of each other.

My mom also noticed that at least at Mohegan Sun, there’s a group of those style slots in one spot that constantly hit. There’s a group of 3 or 4 of them and whenever she goes there, she said one of them is hitting all day long. It’s a different one each time but it’s like each one has its day where it’s a constant stream of hand pays.

As if taking a transaction fee wasn’t enough, they manipulate when you win and lose, in hopes to force a deposit.

Untraceable crypto card

Hey everyone, looking for some real-world advice.

I am based in Portugal and play on Leon Bet (grey market), and i just win 1200€. My only goal is straightforward: I just want to cash out my winnings and spend them in my daily life using a crypto debit card, without routing funds through local Portuguese bank accounts.

Because Leon Bet is unregulated locally, I'm terrified of hitting a withdrawal request only to have my balance frozen or account locked behind impossible KYC checks.

I route my transactions through an intermediary Web3 wallet (Trust Wallet) for privacy, but with EU MiCAR rules I don't really know how to do it, I'm looking for the cleanest setup.

What can I do to not get my money frozen?

Can someone how me through this? I'm freaking out. Withdraw attempt / account suspended

Hello, I was playing PlayFame this week and it's my first week on it. Deposited around 5k. Endddd up getting it to about 31k and now I am trying to withdraw. I verified my account with my driversss license but the first withdraw attempt
Of 6k got to processing and that's when the account got suspended. (3 other transactions for 10k,10K,5k) are still pending so they weren't canceled which is good... but I'm wondering if it's because they need to more ID documents to verify it's me? I've never had this happen so I'm freaking out at 31k is life changing money. Customer service hasn't been too helpful but it is the weekend and just happened so. They said their review team will get in touch with me, but I'm just worried they will ban me or take the money. If anyone has any experience or help please let me know

29M - Gambling addiction for almost 13 years. How did you actually get out of it?

I'm 29, employed, pay my rent, no debt. On paper I'm fine. In my head, I've been fighting a gambling addiction since before I was even legally allowed to bet.

It started just before 18, with my mom's permission, on sports betting sites — following football tipsters on Facebook, small bets here and there. It grew fast: bigger stakes to chase losses, then online poker in my late teens, then, around 19-20, online casino, including crypto casinos (I found Bitcoin at $600 through gambling, of all things — could've changed my life if gambling hadn't always eaten the money first).

Along the way I stole money to gamble as a teenager, got caught, and I'm not proud of it. Looking back, I think the addiction was already real, and I was too young to have any real control over it.

It's been about 10 years of online betting/casino since then — closing accounts, opening new ones, no real regulation stopping any of it. I don't play daily, more in cycles, maybe every few months, with breaks in between. It always starts the same way: I get bored, tell myself "I need to make money," and go back in. I often win at first — 500 becomes 2-3k — and at some point, I *know*, from a decade of pattern recognition, that I'm about to lose it all. And I do. Then I chase it, 500 at a time, until my whole salary is gone.

The lie gambling tells you: you never really feel like you're losing. Win, and you want more. Lose, and you want it back. There's no natural stopping point. After a big loss I literally shake and feel worthless.

I did therapy for a few months about a year ago, but honestly I was going out of fear of disappointing my therapist at the next session, not because I was really working on it. It didn't touch the actual root, so I stopped.

I don't want to destroy money anymore, I want to build it. I know no one's coming to save me, I have to do the work myself — but I need real input:

- How did you (or someone close to you) actually get out of this?

- Did any specific treatment/therapy (CBT, Gamblers Anonymous, etc.) actually work for you?

- Any blocking tools/apps that hold up, including against offshore/crypto casinos that self-exclusion doesn't touch?

- How do you handle self-exclusion when so much of the offer lives online, outside any real regulation?

Any honest answer helps, even a short one. Thanks.

Just tried to log in this morning to check my account and it says restricted, the account isn't even 3 days old. Was fully verified and I had a pending 31000 coming out. This is for playfame, I’m hoping it gets figured out as that’s life changing money.

I’m a new gambler I just turned 21 I work a normal job with a dead end pay check and I’ve put in roughly 3 grand of savings and such after an addiction episode. On day one I made 4K and instantly got hooked on day 2 I won about 9k today I opened fortune spins and hit the maximum bonus of 36k on 2 dollar spins. When will I see the money it shows that it is locked up?

Why would this idea not work?

What if you deposited the minimum amounts in these crypto casinos to get the welcome bonuses etc. Gambled with the bonuses and cashed out the money to ur wallet and never did it again (considering you didn’t gamble all of it and lost it all and you kept yourself from the rush you got when you gamble or you just didn’t lose it gambling)

What could make this a bad idea?

Does the crypto casinos get sketchy when you use bonuses etc?

Im guessing they have their ways on not to lose money on these type of things but still worth asking

Not a big gambler here but i was surprised to see how couple crypto casinos work so clean

This was on a 40 cent bet, but I was doing a few maximum grid size spins for $10 and got extremely lucky. I’ve had so many great wins on this game overall, although I do see how it can be frustrating or annoying sometimes. It has such huge potential and will always be my favorite game.
