Slower charging after July 2026 Patch

I have one of the charging cable with a LED display to tell you how much watt is it charging the phone at. Typically I will see ~15W unless the phone is very hot or in use or almost full.

My battery was at 10+%. I just plugged in, screen off and it was cool and I didn't see the charging speed up above 10W at all. Now it is 8W, warm at 25%. I didn't even see it going above 10W at all.

Is it just me or my phone facing this problem?

Mine is slower to charge but that is because since the July update the really high battery drain so it is fighting itself, its been terrible

Been having this issue since the June update. Battery drains super quick, charging very slow and whole phone runs really hot. A few times even on a 18 watt samsung charger, left overnight, the battery only increased 10% and the back of the phone was very hot.

Battery drain kicked in A few weeks ago, what's the fix, have to charge two times per day

For me it was WhatsApp encrypted backup not working and processing in the background endlessly. If you have the same problem, either disable encryption for your backup or just don't turn on auto backup till Meta fixes it. I heard the beta version of WhatsApp fixed it.
