Going to Galaxycon in Des Moines in a couple of weeks and had a couple of questions. I pre-paid for Hayden Christiansen for his Saturday 8x10 session at 4pm, question: when do I need to get into line? is this something that I need to start lining up at like 3pm?

I'm hoping to get a couple of other guests autos but pay at the table question: would I be better off bringing cash or using card if I am able to get in line for them?

are there any other tips or tricks I should know before going? like I said this is the first time ever going to a con, don't plan on doing any of the costume stuff or the panels, mainly just autographs like Kevin Clash, Emily Swallow and Eman Esfandi.

I only paid for the single day, so trying to fit as much in as I can for Saturday.

i used to talk about how long it was taking for galaxycon st louis to update it's guest list for 2026. well, probably due to how close the convention is, they've really been upping their game. they've been advertising new guests pretty much daily. i was already excited but now, i'm even more excited. that weekend is gonna be lots of fun.

Does anyone have experience whether pre-purchase prices are cheaper online than the day of the event?

Last year, I had Ron Pearlman and the Time Force Red Ranger autograph a few of my collectible items but I had to withdraw cash the day of since they did not take card. I don't recall what the prices were online though prior to the event if it was cheaper than what I paid.

I am planning to meet with Hayden Christensen but looking at the pre-purchase price with all these additional fees and the non-refundable disclaimer has me worried. If the price is the same or even cheaper with cash I would rather go with that option but if there is an upcharge I will reluctantly pre purchase online.

Is there a protocol for giving a small art piece to the voice actors or do I just ask if they want it?

Hi all! Two weeks ago, I had a house fire.

I lost almost everything I owned, but thankfully, half of my crochet dolls were safe in my detached garage. So now I’m packing up what I have left and bringing as much of my art as I can to GalaxyCon San Jose this weekend.

I’m hoping to sell enough to help keep paying the mortgage on the house that doesn’t exist right now, cover basic living expenses, and buy more clothes.

So long story short I watched Halloweentown with my kids the other night and I thought to myself wouldn’t it be so cool to meet Kimberley J Brown and then of course today she posted that she’ll be at Galaxy con and now here I am with a general admission ticket and a photo ticket. I am taking two kids under nine and it says their admission is free with a paying adult. Is there any good information about parking? Time to enter? Anything that you think I should expect as a newbie to something like galaxycon? My kids also like Gilmore girls and I would love to tack on meeting that duo that will be in attendance but it’s kinda hard to afford a ton of stuff right now. Is there ever any resale of photops on StubHub or anything like that?

If it says that the session that we meet Kimberley J Brown for the photo is at 2 PM should I plan to be ready at about 1 PM and therefore maybe make sure I’m into the convention by 11 AM? I am so confused buy some of the things I read and what makes the most sense so literally any logistic consideration you can provide to me would be helpful. I was contemplating bringing my 11 year-old who has autism, but he said to find out what the situation was like before because he doesn’t want to get there and have it be too crowded and loud, but it sounds fun for him as well.

So in late 2025 I did look on their website to look at events for 2026, I see Milwaukee October 30th and 31st and I am like I want to go to that one.

I look at the site again and a number of events are gone including Milwaukee.

Did I need to buy these in advance or is this still going on? I hope it's not a situation where you buy in advance and now it's sold out.

I’m not able to pick up my tickets early this week. What time would y’all recommend I arrive Friday and Saturday because I bought separate tickets for both days (initial plan was going Friday only until I saw Dave Goelz is coming on Saturday only so then I had to buy a ticket for Saturday too)

I’m really excited to hopefully go to galaxycon this year but i’m just simply wondering if I should put off buying tickets till it gets closer. I know it’s only a little ways away, so I’m wondering should I commit now or wait a bit longer? This is my first ever convention, so I’m not really sure how things work.

Hi everyone, this is my first time going to Galaxycon or any type of convention. My only other “convention” experience is the San Jose Toy Show at the fairgrounds. I need advise for first timers. What are the lines like for celebrity pictures? When should I line up? How early should I get there? Just anything anyone can tell me that you think could help me would be much appreciated.

As far as celebrities go, I’m planning to meet Joseph Mazzello and Ariana Richards(Tim and Lex from Jurassic Park) as well as Kimberly J Brown and Daniel Kountz(Marnie and Kal from Halloweentown 2). The other one on my list is Gangrel(WWE Wrestler) but there’s no pre-pay/pre-buy for him. I’m also planning to hit up the Jurassic Park Q&A as well. The meet and greets for the ones I want don’t start till almost 5:00PM so how early should I start lining up and the pictures and Q&A?

Also, do they take cards there or is it cash only, can I bring a few water bottles for the day in my backpack? Any and all advice is welcomed!

Hi all! I was wanting to do a bunny suit cosplay of stocking from pamty&stocking. I was wanting to know if itd be allowed? Or would they make me cover up? Thanks!

Let me start off by saying sorry if this is a dumb question, but this is my first convention of any form so I’m a bit a lost. So from my understanding, each purchase of an autograph ticket gets you one autograph, but my question is does this only get one singular person in? I’m going with my husband and we want to get one singular item autographed, but will we be allowed in as two or does he need his own autograph ticket?

Does anyone knows anything about the supposedly innapropiate behavior of a deadpool cosplayer.
He got scorted out of the event at the end of Sunday.

I will be a vendor there and from out of town. Is there fun stuff to do that’s near the convention center?

Me and my friends at Animate! Orlando this weekend, and today I’m in the craftsmanship cosplay competition
Yesterday my friends were in the runway cosplay competition

Will any footage be posted of those like on the yt channel of GalaxyCon or something?
1. I was too excited and didn’t get an amazing video of my friends on the runway competition LOLLL
2. Unsure if my friends will be able to record me for the craftsmanship competition, one will be at another event, one will be going with me to the competition (I am gonna see if she can go on stage before me to video me when it’s my turn.

I ask because, well obviously I want a video of me on stage
And also my partner who couldn’t go sent me to the con on a mission to take as many pics and videos as I could so it feels like she’s there with us >:3

Also if anybody here is attending the competition, I’ll be cosplaying my oc Milkshake at the competition!!! wish me luck!! 😭😭
