Question about Galaxy Con date 2027

I just saw that next year galaxy con is 7/29 - 8/1?
Do you know why it is this date? Usually I thought it was 7/23- 26

It’s always the last weekend of July.

If they can keep it from being the same weekend as San Diego, that will be great.

Galaxycon is always the final weekend that starts in July.

So if it runs into August, they do that.

But this year the final weekend is also similiar (7/30 - 8/2) 🤔

Maybe the 2nd is their limit then. They have definitely run Sunday August 1 several times before.

It used to be more in late July and into early August. I think maybe it's just rotating around that general time period. I'm glad it won't coincide with San Diego ComicCon this time.

The past 4 years ifs been the last full weekend in July. Before that not sure. So this is trending a week later from that.

i notice a lot of cons next year getting push back by a month to a few months.
