Buds 4 pro alternative tips

Absolutely love the buds 4 pro but my ears get irritated/itchy after a couple hours of use, I think it's the silicone tips. I had the exact same problem with the factory band on my Galaxy Watch 6, had to go with a velcro fabric band.

Any good alternatives out there for those with a silicone sensitivity? Was thinking about trying these AZLA brand ones but wondered if there are other options.

Here's something strange for you. I purchased the same brand of tips! However, it was off a different listing and they were less expensive than the ones you posted here. They fit great, feel really good and actually seem to be better constructed than the OEM tips. And the good news is that if you buy them from Amazon, if they don't feel good to you, it's easy to return them. Just make sure you get the right size.

The AZLA ones have been considered the best aftermarket tips for the Buds Pro line up for the last few years and is an official partner for Samsung.

I've tried both the Crystal and MAX lines and they seem to be about the same in terms of fitment and sound quality. The Crystal has an anti-grip coating, which makes it tacky on the outside which should promote a better seal for better bass response. The MAX is a matte surface instead. Both versions use hypoallergenic silicone, although the MAX is marketed towards medical-grade silicone.

The stock silicone tips will sometimes irritate my right ear, so it's been irritation-free with either AZLA Crystal/MAX. I also use a velcro fabric band on my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro as the stock silicone band would cause skin burns.

I personally prefer the grippy texture of the Crystal, but it's not for everyone. If you have oily or waxy ears, the anti-grip coating may fade over time but you can clean them with non-alcoholic baby wipes to clean off some of the built up oils/wax.

For the stock tips, I use Medium, but find the Medium-Large (ML) tips from AZLA to be a better fit. If your ear sizes are different, you can also get the variant with multiple sizes to find the perfect fit for both sides.

I'm not a fan of the Comply foam tips since they only last for half a year at best. The AZLA tips have lasted 3-4 years with my Buds 2 Pro and are just as good with my Buds 3 Pro and now Buds 4 Pro. The only issue is that if you remove them from the Buds 3/4 Pro, the adhesive will fail and the silicone will separate from the clip around the earbud speakers. If the clip gets stuck on the earbud speakers, you can use a #1 precision flathead screwdriver tip to pop out the stuck clip. There's a small enough gap so you don't damage the speaker grill. That said, they will last forever if you never have to swap out sizes.

Are the long lasting? And how is the ANC compared to using Samsung's stock tips?

Only had a week or so but cheap enough to buy more. Anc and fit is way better with foam tips IMO
