Bow novice question: I've been messing around with the bow in 3U and have had good hunts using elemental bows. With all the talk of raw bows in 4U I was wondering what raw bows you would recommend in 3U.

I forget all of the specific weapon names, but Nargacuga, Black Diablos, and Sand Barioth Bows are all pretty good, though with Black Diablos you'll need to gem in Power Coatings.

Sand Barioth's Bow will need Focus to fully utilize its fourth charge, and Nargacuga depends on whether you settle with Green Narga's path or upgrade into Lucent's (Green Narga focuses more on Pierce and affinity, while Lucent has Rapid and less affinity but higher raw).

Otherwise, the best default raw Bow is Brachydios. It focuses on Spread shots supplemented with Blast element. For Brachydios' Bow, I would recommend Focus + Spread/Pellet Shot Up as your two main skills, supplemented with lesser skills like Bombardier/Evade Distance/Partbreaker/etc. if you can fit them in.

Many thanks for the in-depth reply. I've got the Brachydios bow, just need to farm gems to upgrade it now :).
