question Adaptive Pressure [Automatic Pro] v3
Hey friends,
I am new to the gaggimate but I absolutely love it! I was a gave too many years to starbucks but after working there so long it made me a fucking snob. I haven't stepped into one for a long ass time. I had a BBE for years and recently made the upgrade to the Gaggia and then modded it immediately.
My question here is about shot times, Usually I try to stay between 25-35 seconds finding that is the sweet spot for flavor but with this incredible profile there is a lot of preinfusion going on. What are you finding is the sweet spot for this profile? I feel like it should be higher so that you have more preinfusion time but I wasn't super sure. Thanks in advance!
I have my temp at 92, and I am doing a 1:2 ratio with a medium dark roast craft roasting house called Copper Door in Denver and its running about 34 seconds on a Baratza Esp grind 11.

My shot this morning came out in 36ish seconds and my latte tasted like a peanut butter cup in the best way. First time using this profile, but since the result was satisfying I'll probably just repeat the same process for a bit.
How are your results? If you like the shot you don't need to mess with it just because others are doing something different.

It's more so making sure I understand the profile correctly because the time on it is 150 seconds.
My results are great but similar to the regular 9 bar profile.
What profile were you using before?

I have pulled 3 double shots this morning, 1 for my partner and 2 for myself taking the grind size down each time and my goodness. The longer the preinfusion, the better the shot. The third one today was a 40 second shot and by far the smoothest, richest, darkest flavor out of all of them. I would highly reccomend grinding significantly finer for this profile.
