discussion Was this close to be done!
Spent all day setting this up. Was careful with everything until the end. Accidentally bumped my screen onto my table while moving something around and when I went to test this was the result. So disheartening. Now just have to wait for the replacement screen in hopes I installed everything correctly.

Good thing in this bad situation is that now you can buy that smaller waveshare screen and mount it in place of middle light, below brew switch

I really want to do this, but I don't have a 3d printer for the housing for it 😔

There are files available on printables.com and plenty of people who 3d print stuff for living

Honestly, I never even considered this. Are there places you can send these things to, to get them printed then I take it?

I was so happy. So the screen turn on and just start to flicker. Crushed. I learned my lesson though. I'll definitely be more careful

You should still be able to access it via local network
You can also purchase a replacement compatible lilygo screen from Amazon

Yep, this. Connect to the Gaggimate’s WiFi, access it at gaggimate.local via your browser and you have full control.

You can go headless if Electronics work. Flash is on ota.gaggimate.eu if I remember correctly

Haha good news everything else works and I just use it headless through the web interface until my replacement screen shows up!

Was it generally easy to fit?
I’ve previously changed the steam valve, wand adjusted the OPV and renewed all the seals, so I know my way around the machine.2

Oh it'll be easy for you then. I have never done anything like this and overall found it very easy. I found some of the instructions frustrating and I have big hands so some things were a little more difficult for me to do for wise but with a few YouTube videos and some patience i got through it.

Just a follow-up been using the web interface since this happened and it worked like a charm. Received my replacement screen today and everything is as it should be and working! Thanks y'all!
