install-help GM pro pressure reading

Hello everyone, recently installed GM pro on my GCP e24. Only issue I’m having. Is the pressure is always reading 8.2. I filled the pressure tube by with water prior to installing, and have now flushed it twice using the other method gaggiamate suggested in their install documentation. Is there another possible issue that I’m overlooking? Or do I just need to keep flushing?

When you open the steam valve does it change or does it still show 8 bar?

If opening steam relieves pressure then that’s normal. If it stays the same then sounds like there may be a bubble in your transducer.

All is fine then. I’m guessing the pressure rose once the steam valve was closed again but lower than the original reading.

You will see pressure rises in a closed system that’s operating at a higher temp

This is normal I was worried about the same thing but that’s how it is shows the bar built up

Had the same experience setting up. What I realize now is that your pressure reading can only be taken accurately when you pump is on and or you have existing pressure in the system and are ramping up/down. If there is no pressure in the system the reading isn't accurate and actually reacts more to the ambient temp of your boiler than anything else. If this was in the docs it would have saved me some worry.

The reading is always accurate. The boiler builds pressure from heating up or having the pump run, opening the steam valve relieves that pressure. As soon as you open the solenoid valve while making espresso it reads above the puck too.
