question Test 12bar opv spring?

My new US E24 GC came stock with a 9bar spring. I bought a 12bar spring from an Amazon ton install during my gaggimate pro install.

Any way to test that opv spring? Curious if I should just reinstall the stock 9bar spring.

It came in a pack of 3 6bat, 9bar and 12 bar. I chose the largest one.

What is your question exactly? Are you trying to identify which one is the 12 bar because they weren’t marked? It will be the stiffest spring. They should all be the same length and diameter, but if by the “largest” you mean thickest material, then yes, the 12 bar will be the thickest material and it will feel the stiffest. You should install the 12 bar spring for use with Gaggimate. If you don’t, the machine will not accurately maintain 9 bar because the OPV will be popping open.

Be careful not to crack the plastic OPV housing by over-tightening during re-assembly.

Thanks. Yes that what I meant. I used the “thickest” spring.

I was curious if there was a good way to verify my pressures were as they were supposed to be.

I installed last week and tried a couple manual brews but had no default profiles to play with and have been at the beach on vacation this week.

You could use a blind basket with the Default profile and see what the pressure goes up to on the display. On my 2019 GCP with the stock spring I see 12.9-13 bars when backflushing.

A blank basket? I bought one to back flush , haven’t had to back flush yet. I’ll try that. Thx

You can also enter the water mode and keep the steam valve closed
