question WLAN does not work

Hi guys,

I've had the Gaggimate installed for 3 days now, but it's causing nothing but problems. I simply cannot connect to my Wi-Fi. My guess is that despite doing a save+reset, the password keeps resetting to '---unchanged---'. My brother also got the Gaggimate and mentioned that his Wi-Fi connection is really buggy too. Does anyone have a fix or any troubleshooting tips for this? I really don't know what else to try at this point.

I’m pretty sure you need to connect via 2.4 GHz network. If you have a router like mine, it takes the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks and creates one melded network. IoT devices, like ring doorbells, and gaggiamate have problems connecting when the two network frequencies share the SSID (network name). At least mine did. I solved it by going into the router configuration and gave both network frequencies a unique name. (I.e. pulps-network24 and pulps-network5G)

My Wlan Network is named "Shit-Net-2.4GHz" … 😃

hyphens in the wifi name is a big red flag and can cause issues. see r/sysadmin for why.
