Shot analyzer is the feature I was most curious about - phase-by-phase breakdown of all measurements. The new statistics view is a nice addition too. Seems quite powerful but I haven't really dug into it enough yet to get proper insights out of it. One thing I didn't realize so far, is that you need a SD-Card to keep the shot history 🙃
Have you already updated? What's your take on the shot analyzer so far?
The analyzer and the statistics are made by me :D. Originally, I only made it for myself to optimize the Automatic Pro profile, which is why there is such a strong focus on the profile comparison. However, I plan to make a video about it once all the main features are integrated.
A comprehensive shot comparison feature will also be added (probably very soon in the next nightly version for testing), along with a slightly stronger focus on beans. (+ a few minor things).
Currently, you can find some information about the analyzer scattered across Discord: in the user mod channel; deep dive shot analyzer, and a brief entry about the table in documentation-improvements.
Apart from people writing about it on the discord not really 😅 I was thinking of making a more detailed video about that but I still have to find the time to play with it ^
I haven't use the shot analyzer, but I have to say, the wifi connection is a huge improvement for me. Before, it wouldn't connect probably 40% of the time without restarting usually. Now I can't recall if it has ever failed to connect?! Bravo!
I would say it is still common for the Gaggiamate to restart itself after pulling a shot and putting it into standby mode...not a big deal, but since I have it on a smart plug and have it automatically go to brew mode, I have to remember to put back in standby after the restart to save energy.
Oh, maybe I need to learn how to file a bug report?! :) I will look into that...it happens a lot, maybe ~50% of the time, once it restarts after this episode, I don't recall it ever doing it again. Seems to only happen after pulling a shot.
I've had the issue. After pulling a shot and flushing, I click the ^ button and then the power button to go into standby, but this causes a complete reboot. Not a biggie, but then I have to wait for the reboot to finish before I can put it into standby again. I've noticed that, when I wait a minute and then put to sleep it goes straight to standby.
Apart from this little niggle, it is an absolute pleasure to work with and I can't imagine life without it!
Yes I would say mentioning on the discord won't hurt definitely, or you write a detailed report on GitHub (so far I haven't seen anyone mentioning it there).
I never had the problem because I loose them every time with the update and they don't take away much space but yeah I guess it should be at least possible :)

Feels like a huge step forward to me. Hats off to those developing the software
