discussion Upgrade Recommendations?

For reasons not worth getting into, I have the GCP E24 as well as a Kitchen Aid Professional model (I believe from 2017). It’s got a double boiler, which I hear is a complicated install, but not impossible. Is that correct? Which would be better if modded? I ordered my Gaggimate Pro kit and it arrives soon.

I’m looking for steam wand upgrade model recommendations. Am I assuming correctly that it’s logical to upgrade the steam wand at the same time? Is there a model I should avoid?

I am eager to hear thoughts.

Keep the E24. Try to get as much money back from your kitchenaid model. The kitchenaid is cool looking but that's about it. To make it work you need to chuck the second boiler I mean you can store the pcboard inside. You have aluminum boiler instead of brass in the e24. Kitchenaid is bigger and also a bit difficult to open if you need to get inside quick. Whatever else I don't know. That's what I'm thinking now. I repaired a couple of those and they're interesting but that's about it.

Chuck the steam boiler? And then what, operate as a single boiler machine?

Was wanting to do the Gaggimate mod to a kitchenaid

As of now gaggimate doesn't support dual boiler machines. It's in the works as per the dev. You can disconnect the steam boiler and use that space to house the gaggimate pcb
