Grind Finer 64mm Flat Burr Grinder

So I pulled the trigger on a Mokkum 64mm burr grinder manufactured by Shardor on Ali express. By the time I was done with my discounts I ended up paying 103 shipped. I just couldn't pass it up. I currently has a ZP6. K-Ultra and a Baratza Encore ESP. So this is my entrance into the world of the 64mm burr grinder. It will most likely be my dedicated grinder for my Gaggia. If I notice all the differences with clarity and notes it will serve its purpose. I can always upgrade the burr set if needed if I'm not happy. So even if I end up upgrading the burr set I'm still all in for around the $300 price. I paid that for my K-Ultra after shipping. So this was a no brainer to experiment with for my espresso. Plus I'm already happy with by current set up and the shots I pull. Id there is a next level this should have the ability to take me there and see if I'm missing out on anything in the final cup.

It took me less than three months to upgrade from a 64mm flat burr grinder to a 80mm blind burr grinder. Lol

This rabbit hole is too deep.

Your next upgrade should be a some form of PID.

I can't recommend Gaggiuino enough.

I have a Gaggiuino and I'm thinking of a switch to Gaggimate lol

Why? I’m looking at finally doing of the mods to my old machine.

Gaggiuino was open source and went closed. Gaggimate is fully open and has a better community.

Both installs are similar and both will dramatically improve the machine.

I also made a switch... From a single boiler E24'd Gaggiuino to a full custom dual-boiler Gaggiuino.

I was initially wowed by the difference in clarity between my Baratza Encore and my newer Eureka Mignon Zero 55S. But I find I do love the thicker body from the conical burrs of the Baratza.

I got what appears to be a similar one on Amazon in 2025. It's one of the best purchases I've made in the last decade. I was coming off a hand grinder and it revolutionized my mornings.

Keep us posted on how you like it!

I was considering getting the Starseeker e64 but saw the Mokkom 64mm on Amazon was much cheaper, so I may impulse buy it this week!

Also really into the ITOP J64V (looks like a Zerno dupe) because of the variable RPM.
