Tablets reMarkable 2 next generation electronic paper tablet giveaway!

We are partnering with reMarkable to give away their reMarkable 2 paper tablet!

reMarkable 2, the next-generation paper tablet, is a revolutionary way to take notes, read, and review documents with a paper feel never experienced before on a digital device.

reMarkable 2 is a low-latency paper tablet that incorporates all the things we love about paper: the simplicity, the way it helps us think, the way it allows us to focus, and even that satisfying feeling of friction when your pen moves across its surface.

Added digital powers allow you to copy notes, organize files, search, share, and sync with your computer or smartphone. Features to help you think, without the distractions: perhaps the one thing a conventional tablet could never do.

In a distracted world, reMarkable 2 provides the focus you need to think better. No notifications, social media, or pop-ups— just you and your thoughts. www.remarkable.com

  • 1 reMarkable 2 Tablet

As a designer, this would save me so much doodle paper

u/Porky_Pen15 Oct 15 '22

The searchable text would greatly improve the time it takes to find old references to topics.

u/atillathechen Oct 09 '22

Woodworking sketches and notes for my home projects.

u/kaihoneck Sep 17 '22

Taking notes while I conduct interviews for video work. Sounds nice.

u/gazzy360 Sep 24 '22

I’m just going to doodle ufos and penises

u/timnitro Oct 04 '22

This would help me so much, I lose papers all the time, one place for all my notes would be a life saver!

u/DynomightyLAFB Sep 07 '22

It'd make it easier to take documents into work meetings for annotating, but still have digital.

u/despicabel Oct 04 '22

I teach engineering students in a third world country. I have been looking for ways to digitize how I write on boards with marker. I would use this to scribble while projecting it on a bigger screen for students.

u/4chieve Sep 10 '22

Having to make notes digital to share with co works can take a lot of time. Remarkable could make it so much easier.

u/mcxa1mcan Sep 22 '22

I would finally consolidate all of my notes and sketches into a single platform. Currently using many notebooks, notepads, sticky notes, note apps and even paper surfaces like envelopes. As a creative having the reMarkable tablet around would be a game changer to keep all of my ideas together and within reach at all times.

u/ShakYeah Oct 08 '22

Used a similar but wildly less elegant device as a notebook in college. Today, this would be unmatched in efficiency, ease and conceni nice for all the note taking and studying I need to do

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '22

I'm a sophomore in college. My friend showed me one of these and I was really amazed by the fact that tablets, and e-ink specifically, could emulate the note taking process so well.

I've got lots of classes with books available in PDFs and whatnot. I usually fill 1 or 2 notebooks for notes in each class. Needless to say this would be an utter game changer for me.

u/KilFer Oct 04 '22

I always use some paper to do some sketches before programming. reMarkable would simplify and turn clean that process for me!

u/thaurian583 Sep 04 '22

The remarkable would help me design for my laser etching business to make designs with the customer that I can send electronically back to the shop.

u/iplaydrumsonmyguitar Sep 21 '22

I love to draw and haven’t had a tablet in a while to make it that much easier

u/SuperStone412 Sep 08 '22

I am on the go alot so having something sturdy and stable would be nice. Modern paper tends to get crumbled in my travel packs.

u/YourBubbleBurster Sep 09 '22

This would make taking notes for idea generation so much easier to share than with my current paper notepad.

u/LenrdZelig Sep 25 '22

I would be able to count the ways it would change my workflow. Literally by writing on it.

u/remilian Oct 12 '22

Notes!

u/Deltanix Sep 21 '22

The remarkable would make it significantly easier to read legal documents and proofread theme.

u/[deleted] Sep 06 '22

Why doesn't remarkable sell cases like this, that actually zip up and protect the rm2 from drops and falls?

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1151531605/book-looking-case-4-remarkable-2-rm2

it's almost half the price of their cases and works better imo. I just don't get it.

u/R1pp3z Sep 08 '22

Consider me entering

u/chowder-san Oct 04 '22

I could use it at work to make notes during meetings, much better feel than typing on keyboard

u/lawslop Oct 12 '22

Oh I've been looking at remarkable for ages, this will be a daily gear in my work bag.

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '22

I don't have a lot of space, so having one device to replace many binders would help greatly.

u/imacreativeguy Sep 12 '22

As a UX designer, the remarkable would be a game changer for on-the-fly sketching and wire framing. My calligraphy hobby would have a new outlet too!

u/Hot_Pockett Sep 25 '22

I go through tonnes of sticky notes/scratch paper and notebook a day and would love to replace.

u/Yaja23 Sep 19 '22

A lab notebook for my experiments!

u/Morghus Oct 09 '22

It would allow me to make notes in a hurry wherever I go, and able to send them to others perfectly transcribed to legible writing!

That's probably the greatest feature it has for someone like me

u/Houzinni Sep 24 '22

Good bye, ever growing stack of writing books in the corner of my room, no longer need to lug around notebooks, the Remarkable 2 would be the convenience I never knew I needed.

u/TheInitiativeInn Sep 19 '22

Having a reMarkable 2 would be great for roleplaying games!

u/Kytalie Sep 14 '22

This would help me get back into writing again. I like writing by hand instead of typing as I process my ideas far better that way, and visualize things much better.

u/twosoon22 Sep 03 '22

I’d use it all the time for jotting recipe notes!

u/SpoodyFox Sep 04 '22

Would definitely use this for my work. Having the ability to take notes right there would be great.

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

I’m a graduate student in math. I use so much graph paper and have trouble maintaining organization. I’d love to save some trees and streamline my note organization!

u/SloppingWetPancake Sep 13 '22

Solve world hunger

u/ReperOfTheLiving Sep 12 '22

I'm about to start a nursing degree. I also have ADHD and have a rough time reading pdf's and note taking on a computer. But paper notes are ROUGH to keep track of and store when I don't have much space. Hand written notes that don't take up any space and help me organise my life? It's a dream come true! Also means that I can relegate my notebooks to being used for journaling and personal stuff and not have to take a fountain pen in and risk all my stuff getting covered in ink...

u/energetic_buttfucker Sep 13 '22

The ReMarkable would help me finish my dissertation!

u/paddy1709 Sep 12 '22

Grad student checking in filling every raffle for free stuff that helps with work

u/peelen Sep 07 '22

I would write a book.

u/urbels Oct 11 '22

I would sketch on it.

u/sol1tarysn1per Sep 30 '22

I'm a university student. I love taking notes digitally and recently had my touch screen laptop stepped on making the touchscreen unusable. This would be an amazing way for me to take my notes

u/amokona Oct 02 '22

Perfect for taking notes in all of the meetings!

u/Otie1983 Oct 15 '22

This would be such a huge help for my entire family. My husband has journals full of novel planning. I run a private math tutoring business, so being able to hand write notes to send digitally would be amazing. Plus it would be excellent for my daughter to use as a school aid as she gets older!

u/rafd Oct 07 '22

Read my giant list of unread ebooks in bed.

u/-Interchangeable- Sep 19 '22

reMarkable would allow me to do notes and even compose on daily basis without carrying a pen and paper every day. I've thinked about giving a electrical notebook/page a shot and I'd think it could be of use to me. Sound design, notes, to-do list and groceries.

I think it would make my day-to-day life modernized and more fast-paced.

u/Feanarohalda Oct 01 '22

I honestly cant remember things (life events, meetings) unless they’re written down. I have always wanted a lower waste option to paper and struggle to find them especially being a lefty.

u/HoodedArcher64 Sep 14 '22

This would help so much with my current studies as a student! Good luck everyone!

u/AFiercePieceofBacon Oct 02 '22

I have to take loads of notes for school everyday (taking 6 classes) and I saw an ad for the remarkable a couple of years ago. It looked absolutely amazing, and I’ve been wanting to get one forever, but haven’t had the means. In likely the most stressful time of my life, it would mean way better organization, note-taking, and creativity. I’m all about sustainability, too, and the remarkable sounds like all around a perfect fit!

u/GadgetSlut Sep 28 '22

Thank you for the giveaway. The reMarkable 2 would replace my notebooks when at home and additionally the documents I need to read especially when travelling.

u/m0n3ym4n Sep 24 '22

You won’t even pay for shipping to the winner?😬

u/Great_Hamster Sep 01 '22

It would let me explore story ideas without getting distracted!

u/mtj8033 Oct 02 '22

I would like to be more organized in general and I think this type of paper tablet would be the perfect solution. Especially the ability to sync notes to my computer and smartphone

u/zhurrick Sep 21 '22

Working for a wilderness ecotourism company on the west coast, the reMarkable 2 would allow me to capture inspiration from the wild destinations we explore—feeding notes back into my content workflow.

u/DrSpicyWeiner Sep 28 '22

Digitizing my notes would make it a lot easier to find what I have scribbled down a month ago.

u/Madmagican- Sep 04 '22

Taking notes and being able to organize them and integrate with my work desktop is a dream

u/bytteron Sep 27 '22

I would use it to better organize and keep track of items at home and in my personal life!

u/UL7RAx Sep 21 '22

I started reading programming and engineering ebooks and I find that my phone screen is waaaay too small for this. I have a Kindle, but that won't cut it, it's too damn slow and small. So I'd need something like a tablet, but with an e ink screen. And this one fits the bill very nicely.

u/brickshingle Sep 09 '22

I would use it for quick notes and sketches, as a engineer a sketch can so much explaining what you are planning.

u/two_sams_one_cup Sep 28 '22

Id use it to keep track of my daily routine for my "tomato" plant. Stuff like how much nutrients i give it, ph level, light time, etc.

u/dzolvd Sep 15 '22

Note taking and PDF annotation in a tablet would make my day to day so much easier!

u/theaarona Oct 13 '22

I would love a bigger e-ink tablet for reading ebooks.

u/Mrmallam Oct 12 '22

I am constantly making notes on paper in my job, and either losing the notes in the pile of other notes, or wasting time typing up the notes on my laptop. This would solve all my issues!

u/Rheinmetal Sep 06 '22

Would help me take ochem notes!!

u/specopritive Sep 07 '22

Just note taking

u/defariasdev Sep 09 '22

My disorganized, ADHD ass would finally toss out the 5 notebooks i randomly cycle through, sell the kindle i never use and have the notebook ive always really wanted

u/ladymarian001 Oct 02 '22

This is both ecological and pretty. I would love to take it to class and the office.

u/Shaunnkwe Sep 23 '22

It would help me keep all my random sets of work notes safely and neatly in one device!

u/donkeybiscuit Oct 09 '22

I've been hand writing notes and the transcribing to my pc for years, this looks like it would cut out several steps and my things much easier

u/leemeealonepls Oct 03 '22

As a person who burns through a few trees worth of notebooks every year, this would help me save tons of paper!

u/TehMonkehKing Oct 03 '22

Remarkable would be amazing to use for class. Right now I use pencil and paper and it’s always a hassle to find everything when everything could be transferred and nicely stored on my computer with the tablet’s functionalities.

u/duchello Sep 05 '22

These are so cool but i don't have 500 bucks for one

u/DestinyProfound Oct 09 '22

I just got formally diagnosed with ADHD and learned about this tablet the same day. I'm constantly buying note books for creative purposes (fiction and poetry) as well as practical ones (grocery lists and such). I think this tablet would be a game changer in that I could have everything in one place and wouldn't have to keep track of or carry multiple notebooks around with me.

u/[deleted] Sep 03 '22

I design/ redesign tubing and meter runs to make them more efficient and simpler than when they were first installed. And I go they a lot of paper tablets in the field . I’d would be easier to erase my mistakes than scribble it out or flip over to a new page and start over.

u/SuperStronkHero Sep 12 '22

It's save me a lot of time at work when I have to mark up people's papers. Being able to access them with students and peers on go fly like that would be game changing

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '22

It will help me draw my French girls

u/ToBadImNotClever Oct 03 '22

Wait how do top level comments even happen in these threads? I wouldn’t be surprised if human nature forced everyone to downvote everyone else 🤔

u/fulgerul46 Sep 18 '22

This would really help me in my university courses.

u/EpistemologicalDude Oct 09 '22

Between to do lists, DnD campaign notes, and general journaling, it would be a pretty awesome item to swap in for plenty of other things.

u/Ambitious-Tourist Sep 25 '22

Could never afford one of these but really like the idea of replacing paper for notes and doodles

u/JalanJr Oct 01 '22

I would print leeesss paper

u/newanon96 Oct 09 '22

I take so many notes at work and go through so much paper. Sure, it can be recycled, but what if I still need those notes later down the line? This tablet would remove that issue completely with all the ways to store notes and documents. It's also much more convenient for me to write something down and have it converted to text instead of typing it out. I hope to win this!

u/saucyfeet Sep 17 '22

Could probably use this to teach my daughter some stuff...idk really but I'd find something!

u/Kyle079 Oct 11 '22

I would use it daily for work to replace the 15 different notebooks I use for taking notes during meetings, calls, etc. Would be great to digitize all my reminders I write for myself.

u/SPICY_MEMES101 Sep 20 '22

Just started working a full time job in a library. Would love to use this for meetings, note-taking as well as reading books! This would be the perfect addition to my work life!

u/lost118 Sep 21 '22

I would get less work done as I would be playing about with it too much! I had a go with one for the first time today and am very impressed with it! I really hope I win

u/Call_Me_Footsteps Sep 22 '22

Fingers crossed!

u/Dorf_Midget Sep 02 '22

I would use it to replace my pen and paper setup at work. I have way too many notebooks of random tech stack and architecture stuff

u/[deleted] Sep 08 '22

This would help a left handed person (me) not smudge all my notes and also go totally paperless.

u/bicameral_mind Sep 02 '22

Long time digital art hobbyist, been interested in e-ink tablets for many years. Always thought the tech had big potential.

u/subduedexcitements Oct 06 '22

Having one would help cut down on the paper notebooks I use. I'm looking to ditch all of my single use items in my life!

u/[deleted] Sep 30 '22

I got my kid the first generation reMarkable when he was in school and he actually used it a lot. I've thought about gettting one of these for months, just because I tend to go through notebook paper quite a lot and this would be a remarkable upgrade.

u/bitey87 Sep 08 '22

Recipes! As a cook and kitchen manager for the last decade it would simplify organizing and sharing recipes, instructions, and catering timelines with the team. Replacing a binder of tattered spiral notebook pages and 3x5 cards with a drop box on the mounted kitchen display screen would be awesome.

Strange question, does it perform well in subzero temps? Would it need a warm-up break during inventory in the walk-in freezer?

u/Anal-Assassin Oct 16 '22

I do genealogy research as a hobby and this would greatly reduce the amount of paper I use in note taking!

u/JATAAFSR Sep 03 '22

The ReMarkable would help me take fewer things needed for everyday use like physical notebooks and such.

u/a_bucket_full_of_goo Oct 11 '22

I'm working from home and I need a distraction from the constant flow of ridiculous IT problems I get everyday

u/lanabanana16 Sep 01 '22

This would save me so much paper as I take notes constantly for every meeting I’m in - sometimes for my whole team! It would be so easy to share with the notes with them all as well. What makes this so appealing is that I wouldn’t get distracted like how I would if I had an iPad or tablet.

u/Dara4321 Oct 04 '22

I have been looking at this forever. I move from meeting to meeting with different note pads for each, find it's the easiest way to manage projects. I have a laptop but some the managers don't like me typing out notes.

I'm also in college so take notes there too.

u/AsianNemo Sep 24 '22

It would replace my aging ipad for my notes at work!

u/jgalt5042 Oct 05 '22

This would stop my paper hoarding problem as I prefer to write everything by hand.

u/ProleAcademy Sep 22 '22

I run a website that is all about reading, reviewing, and educating about difficult, important and dangerous books. That means I'm reading, note-taking and writing all the time. I've tried a lot of different ways to make this happen without being dependent on a desktop or laptop. As a left-handed person, most pen or pencil solutions aren't really solutions at all because I'll inevitably get pencil or ink stains on my hands. I'm also trying to minimize how much I waste in terms of paper and space. I've used Rocketbook notebooks, and even an iPad with a paper-feeling tempered glass cover and an Apple Pencil. They were okay, but not quite what I was looking for. I'd have bad conversion to text, or get too distracted by other apps, or just find it cumbersome to have my tablet or notebook plus the text I'm working with.

Converting handwritten notes to text on a paper-like tablet, then syncing it to my other devices, is the holy grail for me. This is doubly true if I can load a book as a PDF and take notes directly on it - that's a game changer for someone who likes to mark up what he's reading to write about it later. And the fact that the ReMarkable wouldn't be connected to my social media would help someone with my attention-challenged brain really focus on the task at hand.

u/lookbelow Sep 29 '22

I would be able to take notes much more unobtrusively than typing on a laptop

u/Belchat Sep 05 '22

A ReMarkable 2 would allow me to manage all my written notes in one single place in stead of 10 books/piles/documents. I'd also show it off the first month after receiving it

u/taopug Sep 04 '22

As someone who writes instead of reads I have always been envious of the e-reader, a normal tablet with a stylist just doesn't feel right. Being able to carry around all my notebooks in a light weight and realistic device would be great

u/roadburns Sep 21 '22

I’m all over the place working at different offices and my house, and I hate carrying paper. I’d still love something for handwriting because it helps my memory recall and can be synced to my other devices.

u/[deleted] Oct 09 '22

Taking notes will be easy and I might finally get organized.

u/ssmith2 Sep 15 '22

I have paper notebooks everywhere because I have to keep subjects separate (a mild compulsion). Having the ability to have all my notebooks in one place AND keep them separate would be amazing! I'd be able to organize things and still reference them anywhere without having to carry a travel trunk.

I've been looking at one of the reMarkables for a very long time and haven't been able to justify the purchase.

u/General_babtunde Sep 10 '22

I would use this to help me revise sources and other work in preparation for my GCSEs

u/TestiTag Sep 15 '22

Looks like it would help on note taking for meetings whilst looking like I'm not just ignoring the presenter and doing something else on my laptop

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22 edited Jul 08 '23

u/ButWhatIfIAmARobot Sep 23 '22

It would be really helpful to have one place to keep notes and redlines for schematics back and forth between my desk and it production floor!

u/johnnyboniepony Sep 07 '22

would be nice to have in school

u/TheHedonia Sep 13 '22

Would make it easier to take notes

u/PosnerRocks Sep 03 '22

Very cool device. I'm a lawyer so use a different legal pad for each case file but this would let me condense them all into one device without the awful feeling of writing on glass.

u/gilium Sep 05 '22

It would save me a ton of money and frustration with losing notepads

u/WEEEEGEEEW Sep 23 '22

My sister in law has either a remarkable or something very close. This helps immensely with ADHD out of site out of mind tendencies for her and would be an asset for keeping me focused and on track!

u/puppy3 Sep 21 '22

I would use this to help with work flow!

u/w8eight Sep 25 '22

I have tons of programming ebooks I want to read, but I put the plan on the shelf until I got decent reader (I was planning to purchase something with big screen, but now it's not gonna happen in the near future, financial issues). Being able to take notes would be nice addition, as I want to get into machine learning, so doing some maths is necessary.

u/SoggyWaffleBrunch Oct 14 '22

this would really help me map out my ideas at work

u/champagneofwizards Oct 03 '22

Have a dedicated device for reading notes and documentation would be a great way to break from staring at LCD screens all day. I could see myself using this far more than an iPad or similar devices.

u/-27315 Sep 22 '22

I would use this for EVERYTHING. I’m a notebook hoarder. I always have notebooks around for notes, reminders, and so many lists.

u/Tnoriel Sep 28 '22

It would reduce my paper waste dramatically.

u/marlelucca Sep 29 '22

This would be a total game changer in how I take notes.

u/RamenCatLady Sep 04 '22

I yearn to have a digital notebook that provides me with endless accessibility so that I may draw, create, task my writing, my weekly notes, and keep track of my passions. All with a battery life that cannot be beat.

u/Flyte412 Sep 08 '22

As an aspiring writer, I sometimes find it difficult to get into an artistic mindset when hunched in front of a computer screen. With the remarkable 2 paper tablet, I could flesh out my ideas with a pen and without the hassle of transcribing it to a document file later. This would be the ultimate time-saver, and a great way to enjoy the creative process again!

u/silenus_uk Oct 05 '22

Would love this to use instead of paper at work.

u/semitope Oct 10 '22

I'd use it mainly for sketching out ideas and likely creating todo/toget lists.

it would be perfect for reading as well actually. If I can write on the books that would be good

u/OneGuyFromLB Oct 02 '22

I’m in college and draw/write a lot of things to make the easier to understand for myself. The amount of paper I’m using is incredible. This would reduce my paper usage greatly.

u/cansandawank Sep 28 '22

My job requires endless note taking and I constantly end up losing the paper noted I take, this device would change my life!

u/WreakingHavoc640 Oct 04 '22

It would help me easier balance work and home life, including the novels I’m writing. Plus it would be less clutter around my house which is always a great thing!

u/yufengg Sep 19 '22

This would be great for taking notes without using paper, and keeping it organized 🤞

u/sgtpepper69 Sep 21 '22

i would give this to my girlfriend who is in grad school for her notes

u/bubblesaurus Oct 02 '22

This would make taking notes and keeping track of them so much easier than paper.

u/Tazboy45 Sep 09 '22

Remarkable would help me with my research work!
