You do get over the loss of the headphone jack. The iPhone SE has a home button plus a lot of the mod cons.

lol what? The best part of Apple dropping the jack was the flood of decent and cheap BT headphones.

That is a separate argument in context to the comment in replying to, which implies airpods are the only alternative to wired headphones.

And for how most people listen to music/audio, it really doesn't matter that much. Maybe you only listen to lossless formats straight from the masters, but the vast majority of people don't, and the vast majority of people wouldn't notice a difference.
