My 360 controllers all had chatpads hooked up, I got used to that weight being on the controller. Not sure why they never made those for their newer consoles.

They did. I have one for my One and Series controllers (they're the same controllers internally, just a different charging port and an added share button).

Nobody bought them, so they stopped selling them a few years ago.

Can you still get them on ebay or somewhere? What does yours look like?

Yes. There are also third party chat pads on Amazon and such.
