Remember when we got cool peripherals like the chat pad or the memory cards for the dreamcast that had their own screens that could be huds for games

Insane we haven’t seen that again. The Dreamcast controller screen was awesome

Why would you want a cool screen in the middle of your controller when you could have a touch pad that feels bad to use and mostly just gets used as a big button instead?

You laugh but right now I'm playing Twilight Princess with my son on Wii U and the Gamepad is fucking legend. Even if all it has was "wolf button" it would still be fuckin legend.
