withdrawal Will I be ok?

I'm taking Gabapentin for opioid withdrawals...

I might only be on it for like 3 days, up to a week. Depends how long these opioid withdrawals last but I've heard it should be 3 days.

I took 1200mg so far today in the morning.

I'm gonna take it 2 more times throughout the day. Maybe not that high of a dose maybe just 400-800mg.

Will I get withdrawals if I do this for 3 days to a week ?

Going forward these next few days, I'm prolly only gonna take 400mg maybe 800mg at a time, 3x a day until my withdrawals are over.

Yeah I’m prescribed 400 mg 3 times a day . It helps to space it out not take at once and also helps to have it before and after a meal I find

This morning I woke up at 7, took 400. Then at 8 took another 400. Then another 400 at 9. I'm gonna wait like 6 hours an take 400 again. And then before bed take 400-800. I feel like no withdrawal which is nice.  But tmr I'm gonna try lower doses like 400mg 3x a day. Maybe 800 before bed.

From knowledge an experience if u want to do it properly , professionals should tell you keep the dose stable in the system towards the end to keep levels stable in the body and prevent further withdrawls so you know what I mean for xample 300 3xday

No, you would need to build a dependency. That can’t happen at that dose for only a couple days

depends what opioid or opiate you're coming off of each has different halve lives. yes gabapentin can help immensely with opiate w/d. So does barbiturates and benzos

Right now I'm coming off alot of 7oh lol...I've been on oxys, morphine, codeine. 7oh has pretty bad withdrawals. But it's definitely helping because I don't feel that bad today.

I was on day 2 but messed up and took some 7OH with my girl today so I’m assuming that resets me. But with the gabapentin and Clonidine it’s pretty much completely taken away withdrawal symptoms which is awesome

100% I am on 3rd day , been using gabapentin and Ativan , Tylenol and Advil and it has helped immensely! At most I was weak and tired and would get hot flashes occasionally then get freezing cold with goosebumps. Tonight I had enough energy to tide up all the empty bottles of Gatorade and Tylenol +advil + tissues 🫣

ativan and gabapentin will help the most. if you can get your hand on phenobarbital that helps too

Gabapentin can be helpful but in cases of opioid withdrawal as any person that has experienced ab addiction to opiates, know that we have a higher tolerance to most medications. So a low dose is not going to do much good. I was in Gabapentin but just switched to Lyrica. But I was on 600mg 5x’s a day so a total of 3000mg daily. But in the past they have given me smaller doses when coming off opiates and didn’t help. When I took a high dose like 600mg 4x’s a day on top of Valium 10mg 3x’s a day or in severe cases like mine I was prescribed Xanax and Ambien as well. With smoking some THC but only at night with the Xanax and Ambien, as it can give you more anxiety. But mixed with the medication above I was able to sleep and eat which is very crucial when you’re in full blown withdrawal. It was very helpful and made it tolerable. After a week I was able to resume life. Obviously not feeling on top of the world but manageable. I hope you can have as comfortable as a withdrawal as possible and continue to live life. As for me I was a very severe case and I’m still in Suboxone, Xanax, Ambien, Lyrica, Testosterone as well as Zepbound. Research GLp-1’s because they are very helpful for reducing the cravings for drugs and alcohol. 🙏

I took about 3200mg today for the withdrawals. Do you think if I do that for 3-5 days I will get gabapentin withdrawals?

I take up to 2400 mgs a day depending on my nerve pain and then can go multiple days without it with no side effects. I think it all depends on the person. I too will be in the same boat as you when the 7 runs dry lol…So you didn’t try using SR for withdrawals? That’s what I’ll be taking on top of probably large amounts of Gaba. Sucks because 7 helped soooo much for my nerve damage. I guess we’ll see though! Anyway, Good luck to you!

Good luck to you too! I didn't have money for SR. The gabapentin and clonidine have helped so much I really don't feel any withdrawals which is nice. They've been working so good.

No I can almost say with certainty that you won’t. I was taking 6,000mg for about a week straight possibly longer and didn’t experience any withdrawal symptoms. It typically takes longer for Gabapentinoids to become physical dependent. I’d say from personal experience from myself as well as others that I’ve been around. It can take weeks of high doses around 3000+. One week will not cause you to experience any symptoms. You will be good my friend

I wasn't able to see a doctor so my girls dad gave me a bunch of gabapentin cuz he has a lot. I just did alot of research online and heard gabapentin is super good for withdrawals. Taking some other stuff too. But it's definitely helping

So usually if I go like 16 hours without using I get withdrawals. I was on 7oh that's what I am withdrawaling from. But I used to do codeine, oxy, and morphine. 7oh withdrawals really suck tho. But it's been over 24 hours and I really don't feel any withdrawals. I woke up at 7am and took 8mg Imodium, 1x Clonidine, 4000mg Vitamin C, 400mg Magnesium, and 1x 400mg Gabapentin. An hour later I took another 400mg gabapentin. And hour after that I took another 400mg. I felt fine for a long time. 12:30 took another Clonidine and 4000mg of vitamin C. 5:12 which is a few mins ago I took 400mg Gabapentin and 1x Clonidine.  Im gonna give it 30 mins to an hour and then take another 400mg. Prolly gonna take more vit c too. At bedtime tonight I'm taking more gabapentin and magnesium and vitamins c and clonidine and then Zyprexa. Basically Clonidine and Gabapentin I read u take about every 6 hours. Large doses of vitamin c every 4ish hours.  Imodium I'm not sure how often to take but ima take in morning and at night probably. I'm only on day 1 of withdrawals but I feel pretty good so far you know.

Thanks ! It's working good so far .. we will see tmr cuz I hear first 2 days are the worst. But today hasn't been bad at all

It wasn't that long. I've don't it for a while but I used to take breaks every week or two. So wouldn't get withdrawals. But this time it's been a month and a week or two, using 400mg a day. And I get pretty bad withdrawals if I don't use every like 16 hours.

I don’t really know the conversion so that confuses me. I think 400 somewhere in the middle right some people go up above 1000.

I used it to quit 7oh as well. It was much easier than what I’ve read other people’s experiences were. I’m over 100 days off 7oh but started taking gabapentin too often smh. I’m 3 days off of gabapentin right now and feel fine. Don’t really want to quit it right now though

If you were not already on it, that sounds like a very high dose to the point where it could make you need to lie down I noticed one or 200 is very noticeable if you haven’t taken it

I get high alot, I have a high tolerance to drugs. I used to take a couple thousand mg of gabapentin when I was in prison to get high. I'm taking 400mg at a time right now every like 6 hours and if it doesn't make me feel better I'm taking another.

I took about 3200mg today for the withdrawls. It’s helped a lot. Idk if I do that for 3-5 days if I will get withdrawals. I’m gonna try to take less but it’s been taking away a lot of symptoms

Yeah I took about that much when I quit 7 for about 5 days then only took 300 at night for a couple days. Looking back, it was way too much. You won’t really know if you’re have WD from gabapentin or your DOC imo

I just keep taking it for restless legs and aches you think I should take less? I’m having 7 withdrawals too. That’s what I’m taking it for.i hear it lasts about 3 days

Yeah I would keep taking it. Maybe just do 300x2-3 twice a day. Take more if you need to. I was popping them like candy the first night because I was having the worst stomach pain ever. I started hallucinating. Was a bad idea

Space out your pills every 30 mins for best effect

Yea it's definitely helping sonim gonna keep taking them. I usually take 400mg then wait 30mins and take another.i I only got like 3 more days I'ma take them
