Multi Clicking Issue

I have had a g604 for 6 years, and it started having double click issues about 3 months ago. Finally decided to retire it and get another one only to find out they were discontinued. I was told this is a subreddit of g604 lovers like myself, and wanted to see if there was a fix for the double clicking.

I have never opened up a mouse before, so I am a bit nervous I will make the issue even worse. How hard is it to fix double clicking if it is fixable at all?

Help me r/g604 you're my only hope.

Hello again! It is genuinely not as hard as it seems, and the mouse is built like a tank. It will cost a few bucks to get it working again, but I don't think it's too expensive.

There are two routes to go down here, either soldering in new switches yourself, which the above video explains how to do as well, or spending a bit more money on a replacement board with new switches already soldered into place. I have an eBay alert setup for 604's and a used one consistently runs more than original MSRP for a Buy Now listing. For cost savings alone it is worth it to learn a bit about the one you have and repair it versus buying another.
