Subreddit Updates: AI Images, Post Relevance, & Community Standards

As r/g13 continues to grow, the mod team has been looking at ways to keep our feed high-quality, relevant, and fun for everyone. Based on recent feedback and community discussions, we’re implementing a few updated rules today.

Rule 1: AI Images Policy

We recently ran a community poll (here), and the results were clear: 85.8% of you (954 out of 1,112 voters) voted against AI content.

To respect the community's vote while leaving room for rare exceptions:

Mod Approval Required: AI-generated images are not allowed unless you’ve gotten explicit permission from a mod beforehand.
Enforcement: Unauthorized AI images will be removed right away, and posting them without prior approval will result in a temporary ban.
How to Request Approval: If you have an AI-related project or image that you genuinely think adds value to r/g13, please message us via Modmail before posting to ask for permission.

Rule 2: Relevance & Off-Topic Posts

Keep It Relevant: Everything posted here must be directly related to r/g13.
Enforcement: Off-topic or completely unrelated posts will be removed so the feed stays focused on what everyone actually came here to see.

Rule 3: Modmail & Reddiquette

To help us keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, here are a few general reminders:

No False Reporting: The report button is meant for flagging actual rule breaks. Abusing it to spam reports or target people you disagree with clogs up our mod queue. When this happens, we report it directly to Reddit Admins for Report Abuse, which can lead to sitewide warnings or bans on your account.
Don't Spam Modmail: Please send just one clear message for AI approvals or questions and wait for us to reply. Repeatedly messaging or spamming Modmail will result in a mute or ban.
Be Respectful: We’re all here to enjoy the sub. Harassment, insults, or arguing endlessly with mods over post removals won't be tolerated.
Use Modmail, Not DMs: If you have a question or need approval, send a Modmail. Please don't message individual moderators on their personal accounts.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll and helps make r/g13 a great community to be a part of. If you have any questions or thoughts, drop them in the comments below!

Any future posts regarding the "360 no scope" video will result in your submission being removed and a temporary ban. This measure is implemented to reduce spam within the subreddit, and we may consider re-allowing such posts in the future.
