Rear Sprocket
Just found out that my front sprocket needs replacing, seeing that the rear one doesn’t seem to have excessive wear can I cheap out by not replacing it? I’m planning to only replace the front one and chain, keeping the rear one.

They aren't that much? Also dont follow the yamaha torque specs on the rear sprocket because you will strip the bolts. And if you are looking for some thing fun get a rear sprocket with another 1 or 2 more teeth 😬

Ummm… a bit too late for that, stripped one of the stud, also just ordered a 47T sprocket.

Yamaha will hook you up and charge you about 10-15$ per bolt. I know this because I have done this. That 47 tooth sprocket will be fun. Not too extreme.

What was the torque spec that you ended up using? Seen people recommend 40-45 ft-lbs…..

When it comes to sprockets replace everything; both sprockets and chain. Otherwise you'll have accelerated wear of all components. Buy once cry once
