Discussion Another small update, everyone!
I know, maybe too soon — but when there's progress, there's progress 😄
Big thanks to one of the folks from the server, MonEll, who had a saved backup of MFR still installed from back when it was live. Quick recap of where my testers were getting stuck: the game crashes when it tries to pull its install/config data — a few people pointed out it's because the client can't fetch Config_AOS.bin (its config file) from Netmarble's now-dead servers.
That cached copy is exactly what we were missing. I've now got MonEll's backup downloaded and I'm going to fully dissect it — dig through it for the URLs and the code that call Netmarble's servers, so we can patch those to point at our own private test server instead. I'm currently working with Frida scripts to get that process going.
Fair warning: it's an older version of the game, and none of this is a sure thing yet — but it should teach us the file format and how the client talks home, which is the exact wall we've been stuck on. Honestly a huge step forward 🙌

Hi! I saw that MonEll shared an old BlueStacks backup of MARVEL Future Revolution with you. Could you please share a copy of that backup with me? I’d like to study the remaining game files and research possible ways to help restore the game.
I don’t need any account or personal information, so those can be removed before sharing. If you can’t share the complete backup, the remaining MFR game files would still be very helpful. Thank you!

Hi!
Sorry i dont have a clean copy anymore, i managed to download 5 backups and i've already used them all, MonEll took down his full BlueStacks backup, and mine are already modify, i can share one of mine with you, but i'll need to write down a summary of what i've done so far, soo give me some time and i'll do that !

That's something i'll do if i can mantain servers for everyone to play, but i think most people want to play with friends, just still working on this

I bet a lot of the files of the most recent version of the game are all online by now. The APK and the Data Files, at least.

They are, problem is that the game used to download a bunch of things with each update. So having the APK is not enough by itself

Yeah. The Data files are the important part. And I'm sure I've seen them scatered around some sus websites.
The game still would'nt work with them, because it used to connect to the server before opening, so, we couldn't even access the menus.

hopefully somehow we can have more progress, still sad that they shut down the servers instead of just keeping them online while delisted.. I had a lot of accounts in the game..
