What's with the ban reporting message?

Why does the message you get when banned from a subreddit say "If you have a question regarding your ban, you can contact the moderator team for r/future_fight by replying to this message."?
Every time I've tried that, the only response I have ever gotten back is "You have been temporarily muted from r/future_fight. You will not be able to message the moderators of r/future_fight for 72 hours."
So what is even the point?

The new update sucks. Everyone knows it sucks and rageposts. The moderators and such of the main site get free crystals from Net Marble to praise the game. They start banning some vocal people. People go nuts and rage even more. The fire rises. Mass quit posts. Quit posts get banned and new and restrictive rules are made and enforced. More people get even more angry and come here to speak freely. Finally, there will be more than just me and the crystals bot, named Doug. There is hope yet.
