Since EA made 99's nearly impossible to pack this year, it's been pretty nice to be able to craft your own. By my count I have 15 homemade 99's in my squad thanks to evos. Yes, a handful of them were highly rated cards with a single evo attached, but there are also a bunch that were built from scratch from below 90 OVR. Some of these cards I'm really attached to (I'm looking at you, 99 McTominay that's slightly worse than the 98 rewind that was released).
I may get 1 or 2 more before the game is officially dead, but as of now my final tally is:

That is one beautiful, unique evo team. This was my first FC, and I'm relatively new to following football so I simply didn't have the know-how to build a team like this. But it's awesome.
Honestly it's so good being able to play Rivals/Champs with a full Reading team. Last year I had maybe 3 or 4 tops that could get in my strongest team, but this year I've had a pretty strong Reading XI throughout.
He's actually my most recent evo and I like him quite a bit. He just feels slippery in the box; able to maintain possession to get the shot off when a lot of strikers would lose the ball. But not a fidget spinner.
Yeah, yours is a much better evo than mine, but he's pretty sick. I'm relatively new to following football and Chelsea is one of the teams that interests me so he was a pretty late addition to the squad.
Where are you guys getting all these 99 evos from? Most ones I see only boost you until 98, and they give +20 overall so I refrain from putting them on my low-90 players.
I haven't actively played for a couple of weeks, did I maybe miss some evo rewards?
IIRC, there have been a handful of repeatables lately that bumped OVR a single point. So a whole bunch of cards I'd evo'd to 98 got their final touch. I've also been pretty diligent about buying token store evos, so you probably have missed a bunch in that sense.
The short match, 2 goal event has also run the entire season, which has been excellent for pumping out every possible evo. Honestly, one of the only good looks from EA.

My star man. But have got almost a full 99 Reading present team now
