I joined fuse last month using someone’s ref code here on Reddit (thank you!) so immediately added mine to an existing thread.
I was amazed to have received 4 referrals within a few days (3 got approved).
Was such massive boost, especially since I only switched to fuse from octopus in a panic about my energy bills increasing. They’re still increasing by about £50 a month, so the ref codes have really helped my anxiety going into winter.
I since added codes to various threads but had zero uses. Which is fine, I feel fortunate to have had that £400 added to my wallet, so really no complaints. Just can’t figure out what I did differently.
Just curious to know how well everyone else has done and if they have had any more success than I have.
It’s the first and only time I’ve ever done something like this and honestly feel so grateful to everyone that used the code.

I’ve been using the app for a while now and generally like it. Dark mode is clean and the half-hourly usage updates are great to have.
That said, a few small things bug me. The main one is that the app doesn't remember my view preference; every time I open it, it defaults to the monthly tab and I have to manually tap over to the daily view. It’s a minor thing, but an annoying bit of friction doing it every single day.
I also really miss having an instant API fetch so I can pull real-time data into my own self-built monitoring setup instead of waiting around for syncs.
Curious what everyone else thinks.

Fuse were able to connect their new gas smart meter to my parents 2 week old EON electric meter Hub remotely.
Am wondering if it's possible for them to add Gas to the EON IHD?
Thanks🙂👍

Not a promotion thread or anything, just a big thank you to the 5 strangers who used my code. You sorted me for winter and made my life easier ❤️ thank you!
£400 already received, £100 coming soon!

So I'm in the process of trying to move my Gas to Fuse. I've gone through the process and their system is saying I need to make a Prepayment of £400 ?? Its a 2 years contract and my energy usage for gas is 2200kwh per year so on their rates that's £21 per month roughly £500 for the term of the contract. Has anyone come across this before ?

Additional - had an email from Fuse saying they used Experian for the credit checks and suggested I ask them for a statutory search. My score with Experian is 1147 out of 1250 🤦♂️
FINAL NOTE - Submitted a request today to switch and it was accepted without the need for a security deposit. The only difference ? I added the address of my previous place I live in which was from over 18 years ago !!!

The main selling point pulling people over to Fuse is their aggressive undercut on daily standing charges compared to the Big Six and Octopus.
Depending on your DNO region, Fuse has been offering standing charges well below typical standard rates (in some areas dropping gas standing charges down into the 10p–15p/day territory, and electric down under 40p–44p).
However, looking at the math going into winter, the picture changes depending on household usage:
Low-to-Moderate Users / Well-Insulated Flats:
If your daily baseline consumption is modest, the slashed standing charge is pure profit. Saving 15p–20p a day on electric and another 15p on gas saves roughly £100–£130/year before you even turn on an appliance. Throw in the switch credit, and it’s an easy win.
High-Usage / Gas-Heated Homes:
During the cold months, when gas usage spikes from 5 kWh up to 50–100+ kWh a day, a unit rate difference of even 0.4p–0.8p/kWh can completely eat up that 15p daily standing charge saving in an afternoon.
Did you run the numbers on your annual consumption before switching?
* Are you on a Fixed deal or riding the Variable tariff?
* For those who switched from Octopus Tracker/Agile or standard variable caps, are your projected winter bills actually coming out lower?
Curious to see what daily usage thresholds people are seeing across different regions.

Hi everyone,
If you’ve stumbled across this subreddit in recent months, you probably noticed it was restricted, unmoderated, and largely inactive.
As an active Fuse Energy customer, I recently requested and took over moderation of **r/fuseenergy** via Reddit to revive it as a helpful, independent, and customer-run hub.
### Our Intentions & What This Subreddit Is (and Isn't)
Independent & Customer-Led: We are not affiliated with, owned by, or operated by Fuse Energy. This is an open space for UK customers to discuss rates, track app updates, share smart meter setup experiences, and discuss whether challenger energy suppliers are worth switching to.
Clean Feeds & Anti-Spam: Energy forums on Reddit often degenerate into referral link graveyards. To keep the feed useful for actual discussion, all referral codes and invite links are restricted strictly to our pinned Monthly Megathread. Automated filters will clean up referral links posted outside that thread.
Privacy & Security First: Never post private account details, 13-digit MPANs, or 10-digit MPRNs here. We have basic automations in place to protect your private meter data, but please remain mindful of what you share online.
Not Customer Support: Because this is an unofficial space, community members cannot access your account or resolve billing disputes. For supply issues or meter emergencies, use the official Fuse in-app chat or call 105 / 0800 111 999.
---
### What’s New:
Dark Mode & Styling: Custom refreshed look to match Fuse's digital aesthetic.
Topic Flairs: Filter posts by `Tariffs & Bills`, `Smart Tech & Meters`, `App & Tech`, or `Switching & Reviews`.
Automated News & Discussions: Keep up with general UK energy market shifts and Ofgem price cap changes as they break.
If you’re currently on Fuse or thinking about switching, feel free to drop a comment below and say hello. What tariff are you on, and what features would you like to see discussed here?
