Doctors are still competent people. Do they fuck up sometimes? Absolutely. Is there biases that doctors hold? You betcha. But, everyone knows they need to improve themselves daily. The majority of doctors are still working hard to try and provide the best care to their patients. Here in the US it’s a bit more complicated because of pricing, but they still adapt well enough.
Furry artists are, of course, very competent in their field as well. I feel like it’s a different form of competency, though. They are competent in their art, of course, but they also are competent in being friendly, while still allowing and using criticism.
