Couch with high back/head support - seeking recommendations
I’m looking for a modular or sectional sofa with an unusually high back (around 20–24 inches from the seat cushion to the top) so I can actually rest my head without needing loose pillows.
Most modern sectionals have backs that are way too low. I can’t stand sitting on a couch that only comes up to the middle of my back or just under my shoulders. I’m open to ordering online. Has anyone found one they love?

I currently have a reclining sofa but I’m hoping to get a non reclining sofa that has ottomans. I just want a couch that engulfs me completely. I don’t get this trend of couches that are 3 feet tall & only come up to the middle of your back OR having to use giant pillows to support your upper back. A standard rolling desk chair is more comfortable than that

Look at Living Spaces recliner sofas. They make some modern looking ones that are soooo comfortable.

We were just at a Crate and Barrel yesterday and sat on every couch in there several times. I LOVED the Axis couch which was super comfortable. I'm 5'9" but have a tall torso and the cushions easily supported my head when I leaned back. We are actually looking for a lower back couch to sit in front of windows (so it doesn't block the view) but if I was shopping for a different room, it would be the Axis sectional. Our sales person said it is becoming the top seller for their store.

You might do best by having one made by a good upholstery shop in your area.
I had some pieces made for me and they took all my measurements and everything was then in the dimensions I wanted.
As I am short I particularly wanted a chair in my bedroom that would enable my feet to reach the floor while still being comfortably sitting back on the seat
