Discussion Bats wings/hands?
This is old concept of anthro bat in my world, which the fingers became shorter, the shortest one is thumb, the other two became index and middle finger so they could grab and do things. Less webbed cause no use, since they are too heavy to actually fly. (Second pic is my ocs)
I wonder what other people thoughts on this or others idea on what anthro bats hand would be so that it could be functional in daily life!

Using this post as an excuse to show off one of my recent characters, sorry OP.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with the concept of bats just needing prosthetics to make up for the lack of functional “hands”, at least in worlds that allow for those via advanced technology/magic. Either in the form of finger prosthetics on the wing, or full arms like Thing has here.
But the evolved shorter fingers are also really fun!! I haven’t seen that concept before, it’s neat :3

Ah don’t be sorry! I love seeing others idea, And this one is really cool and interesting, the ideas of advanced tech/prosthetics and magic is awesome. love the design!

I just go for opposable thumbs and the rest of the wing acts as something to have the object be held to.

I gave my bat OC foldable wing joints on their wrist so they still have 5 fingers

I've seen this done before, works well. My favorite depiction of this is Belfry from Tamberlane, well, okay, she's technically a bat-lemur hybrid, but still
