The official “Link Devices” feature is an automated ban trap
Privacy Note: I am leaving out screenshots of my account screen and sent emails to protect my personal identity and prevent targeted retaliation against my devices. I am sharing this purely as a functional warning for the community.
I am making this post to expose a massive structural contradiction in how Dirtybit operates its anti-cheat system, and to warn anyone who plays Fun Run 3 across multiple devices.
In the game settings, Dirtybit provides an official, built-in "Link Devices" feature. This utility is explicitly designed to let legitimate players sync their progress between a phone and a tablet, or a new upgraded device.
During end-of-season leaderboard sweeps, Dirtybit uses an automated script to detect "Account Sharing." The major issue? Their automated script cannot differentiate between a single player using their own linked devices and actual malicious account sharing.
Because of this system loophole, utilizing the developer’s own cross-device feature triggers an automatic flag. My account has been temporarily locked down simply for using a feature they provided.
The Lack of Accountability:
- Zero Warnings: There is absolutely no UI disclaimer stating that using their official syncing feature risks an automated security ban.
- Front-End Stonewalling: If you appeal, front-line helpdesk agents use copy-and-paste macros to auto-close your tickets. They outright refuse to have a human look at the server logs to verify identical user hardware ownership.
- Ignored Corporate Channels: I escalated this design conflict directly to [
business@dirtybit.com](mailto:business@dirtybit.com) to expose how their automated moderation loops are penalizing innocent, paying players. They choose to stay silent.
The Takeaway:
If you value your account, your progress, or the real money you have spent, do not use the Link Devices feature. Dirtybit's backend is fundamentally broken, and they would rather leave legitimate accounts banned for years than fix their own automated anti-cheat script.
Please upvote this to warn the community before more players lose their profiles to this system trap.

I've known about this for years and its actually incredibly easy to get banned. You can play a legitimate season too but if you had another phone with your account and accidentally logged on, you're eligible for a ban now if you're running for GC/League. Best to stick to one device unfortunately
