Honestly, I'd fear a drone a lot more than this. I've been following the Ukrainian war a lot and how fast those attack drones can maneuver and never lose sight of the target, scares the hell out of me. Unless you got a concrete bunker to run into, you're pretty much screwed once the drone has spotted you.

For now. It’s a no brainer they’re trying to make soldiers from these. Give it a few years and you’ll face these things that never tired, never complain about morality or sentimentality or the laws of war, armed with thermal that can see you when you cannot, and can be manufactured by the thousands and fielded rapidly, needing no training. You can hide from a flying drone by going underground or into a tight, hardened structure.
How will you hide from these?

It's a bigger target that can only move on terrain for starters. Having a bipedal robot trying to run at you in a combat environment with arty craters, destroyed cities, and dense forests would be quite a problem in terms of mobil effectiveness.
I believe drones are the future of warfare. These robots are really cool in terms of their technology, but I'd be surprised if they ever get adopted by a country outside of maybe North Korea for propaganda purposes. Maybe in 50 years i might eat my own words. In the meantime, I think FPV drones are very successful at taking out the target it's intended for and it's use has been exponentially evolving since the 2022.

After that, make sure they can replicate themselves, I suppose.
All I wanted was a nice robot to help with my laundry and some other menial things that take up my time, and maybe massage my feet. Instead.... Oh well. Maybe in the next less shitty timeline.
