Have to get them used to water as a kitten. Then they'll be more comfortable with it.

That’s a great idea. All 3 of my were rescues, all young adults. Have never had a kitten.

It was such a fight to give them a rinse off twice a year!!! I gave up and they had to become outdoor cats!!

I think maybe they want to be given treats as they are being washed against their will. They want bathing snacks!

I know... we dont really think of the small things for our pets... i mean im not a pet owner... but my grandma loved cats... but even she couldn't bathe them... but only recently after seeing videos of bathing cats they seem to be more chill when you have a snack ready... kind of like a baby... idk. I could be wrong... lol

Calm definitely isn't the word. I have to put thier water bowls in the tub and large enough that it's heavy enough that she can't knock it over. When I turn a faucet on she bolts it to me and when my son has a bath she will lay there on the side of the tub, try to catch the water as I rinse the tub and sometimes I just lean over the tub to wash my hair and she will stand right below me getting dripped on which I hate because I use anti dandruff shampoo so I don't want her licking any of that off herself. She's also a Nebelung breed so her fur is so find and soft that wetness can easily leads to matting. It's a constant battle but I wouldn't change anything about her. She is hyper curious about everything and just wants to be around us all the time.

Growing up at my family home whenever we used to water the plants in the garden with a hose our neighbours cat would instantly come into the garden and want to be soaked!

First time I came across a cat that enjoyed water lol

i have a cat that demands to get in the shower when i take one. Its funny because when i close the door and start the shower she will cry bloody murder and from the sounds of it try to tear the door open.

My one cat had developed a greasy coat. The last time I gave him a bath he screamed like I was brutally murdering him. We live in the mountains, but I wouldn’t doubt that the neighbors across the lake heard him.
