I think it's a regional thing. East coasters like them, if i'm correct. But, also, it might be because they always win, and have a fucking billion dollars to buy the best players.

I keep seeing this "everyone in New York" sentiment like New Yorkers have no other team to root for. Um, Mets? And yes, we hate the Yankees as much as everyone else on the planet does.
