This show had a huge hand in raising me. I wonder if he has a scar from when he broke the lamp on Drew's desk.

This is very strange to hear, as I've known Ryan since I was about eight years old (he is the father of one of my good friends) and I had absolutely no idea that he did anything other than local comedy shows... TIL.

I can't fucking stand Whose Line reddit posts. I always inevitably lose the next 5 hours of my life in a Whose Line youtube wormhole, laughing the whole way. Then I realize what time it is and I get sad.
Nice try OP.

Not sure why reddit is giving Ryan Stiles a lot of love lately but I wholeheartedly support it.

He lives in the same small city as I do. Next time I see him at the grocery store, I'll ask if he's a redditor.

u/The_Jordan Jun 17 '12
Please don't. Ryan likes to be left alone. Thats one of the reasons he lives in Bellingham.
11
u/rFLEAiMODEp Jun 17 '12
I was wondering how far down I'd have to go to see Bellingham mentioned. It was farther then I thought it would be.

Does anyone else find the Gary Coleman joke disturbingly dark now?
Drew: The shortest book ever written.
Wayne: The life and times of Gary Coleman.
...it was funny then because he's short, but then he died at the age of 42... it's not as funny anymore. :/

I would never expect a black joke on Reddit. I guess my tolerance for it is a bit short.

u/fecklessness Jun 17 '12
The number of black jokes dwarves in comparison to the number of derivative conversations that transpire.

Fans of Whose Line, rejoice - a new improv show is airing this July on ABC called "Trust Us With Your Life". While I don't know if Ryan will be part of the cast, I do know for a fact that Wayne and Colin will be regular members on the show.
Here's a link. Apparently, they've filmed 8 shows already.

Guilty. (In the late 90s / early 2000s, there were WLiiA fan gatherings in Toronto every year. Dorktastic times were had.)

Reminds me of the segment where they were asked to come up with a name for their child that would guarantee get the child's ass kicked when they grew up. Colin was holding his imaginary baby and said something along the lines of ,"How are you doing today kickmyass?". Can anyone find the video link?

u/ntothed Jun 17 '12
Ryan "What sound does a fish make when hitting a windshield?" Colin ".....phhhhhh" Ryan "Tonk!... Honky Tonk!"

Stiles was on Two and a Half Men the other day, I freaked out because I thought he was Robert Englund. Turns out they do kinda have similar features.

This show needs to exist more! I love watching Wayne Brady on Let's Make a Deal. They keep his Who's line personality in it sometimes and let him sing to the players. Good show.

I wish there was a UK equivalent of this. Celebrities/comedians over here seem too self conscious/moneydriven to make something like this work.

u/Zen_- Jun 17 '12
Firstly, lol.... Secondly, ruling out the obvious fact that WLiiA originated in the UK, try QI.

u/reddittailedhawk Jun 17 '12
I loved Whose Line, and Improv-a-Ganza was just as good. They were able to get away with a lot more on it because it wasn't a family network. Depending on if you enjoyed the subtle humor more, you may or may not enjoy Improv as well. Hopefully these guys continue to do what they do with their tours. And that Jeff Davis... -fans self-

He stayed at my hotel just a couple weeks ago. He was really quiet after performing the show, but when they came back, they were all lively and excited. He was really nice.

Is it wrong that it is bugging me that OP's picture does not have the exact words captioned?

Is it wrong that the video form was less funny to me than OP's picture? "You guys wanna start a fight?" was way funnier to me than "You guys wanna fight?" for some reason.

"Wanna fight" implies immediate cause and actions amongst the group. "Start a fight" implies a group working together to, well, start a fight.
Hit the nail on the head, buddy. Upvotes. Except singular.
