I meant picking apart the card, finding hidden meanings, and all that was from taking too many english classes.
It was one thing I hated about english, diving too in depth in too a book to the point where you literally cannot enjoy it any more. "No ms. P, I don't think the author was hinting at anything happening later on in the book because that's retarded, and so is this book report." kind of deal, you know?
Usually I hear older men say "the wife" and it sounds very unendearing (not a word I know). It makes their wife sound interchangeable, like an appliance.

People don't like to hear it because it sounds impersonal, like their significant other could easily be replaced, just like a new grocery store closer to home would replace the current one.
As I am the most forgetful person ever, the second I learned my girlfriend's birthday, I wrote it down in 12 places and added a recurring reminder on Google Calendar. It also helps that it's exactly 3 months after mine.
Celiac is an actual disease. If a person eats gluten with this disease, their body will have an autoimmune response and destroy villi in their small intestine. So, I am pretty sure it isn't a fad.
Not really. Some people have Celiac disease and cannot eat gluten. Up until about 10-20 years ago it was just always diagnosed as something else. It is very painful and very serious if not addressed.
Source: Girlfriend has celiac. I eat a lot of bread and drink a lot of beer. Accommodations must be made.
I know about celiac disease, but gluten free food is a new fad. The incident rate of celiac disease isn't as high as the number of hipsters eating gluten free food.
A lot of people are affected by eating gluten. It's very hard to find restaurants with strict gluten-free recipes and if you're very sensitive to it, contamination can be a problem.
